For those of you who do not know, ICW stands for Insane Championship Wrestling! They are a wrestling promotion that comes from Glasgow, Scotland! However, over the past couple of years they have been expanding at a rapid pace, they have toured the United Kingdom a couple of times and most recently they just completed their 2015 tour with their largest show to date, at the SECC arena in Glasgow, in front of 4000 fans, 4000 wrestling fans!
This was the largest gate to a british wrestling promotion since the 1980s and ICW will not stop there! They are still continuing to grow! They have already announced that in November of 2016 they will break the record they just set and will be wrestling at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow! A 13000 seat arena! The same SSE Hydro that the WWE use during their UK tours each year! As well as having these huge events they are also releasing their own video game in 2016, and on top of this they have their own on demand service, similar to the WWE Network! ICW on demand! They are continuing to rapidly grow!
This is why I will ask you something, how much larger can they grow? Will they outgrow the United Kingdom in the coming years? Will they start to tour Europe? Will they start to tour the USA? What do I think? I believe in the next couple of years, ICW will start to tour outside of the United Kingdom, I believe that they will make the move over to the USA! When this happens I believe this is when we will see ICW challenge to become the number 2 wrestling promotion in the world! A title that used to be exclusive to TNA but recently there has been debate about which promotion really is the number 2 brand behind the WWE! Is it TNA, is it ROH, is it NJPW, could it become ICW? I believe it could be! ICW is full of talent, including the ICW World Champion Grado (who has previously wrestled in TNA) and the former ICW World Champion Drew Galloway (formerly known as Drew McIntyre in WWE, and currently wrestling in TNA). If ICW continue to grow, and manage to continue to grow new talents, and keep the talents they already have then I believe that ICW will be the number 1 alternative wrestling brand in the world, and the number 2 wrestling brand in the world, only behind WWE, within the next 5 years!
