Davie’s Dungeon: Feuds I Want To See!

Welcome to the dungeon!

The past few weeks I’ve been struggling to write about what’s been going on in the WWE as I haven’t watched anything since Summerslam. I’ve been reading about what’s going on but haven’t really taken any interest so I thought about what matches and feuds I would like to see to spark my interest in the product.

There are many feuds that could be great with the amount of talent on the roster, even with the lower card talent. The WWE has ample amounts of talent at their disposal and they should be doing so much better than they currently are. I read a comment Vince Russo made about how the WWE during the Attitude Era used to try and better themselves every week. Ever since WCW closed it’s doors, the WWE seems to have forgotten how to compete for the ratings.

Here are some matches/feuds I would like to see which I think could help the WWE product:

1. Brock Lesnar & Cesaro

The WWE has built up Brock Lesnar as an unstoppable force and made it look impossible for anyone to take the championship away from him. It’s rumoured his next opponent after John Cena will be The Big Show which just sounds like lazy booking. The Big Show has the size and look that could make people believe that he could take the title from Lesnar but didn’t we see this giant cry on TV not so long ago?

Cesaro should have been kept alongside Paul Heyman whilst he’s been managing Lesnar to build up the feud over time. Heyman is the master and is on his way to becoming the greatest manager of all time and he could have done wonders for Cesaro’s career.

We’ve seen the power and strength Cesaro has and if the WWE had taken the chance on building him up to turn on Lesnar and Heyman then they would have had the perfect main event for Wrestlemania 31. Cesaro as a threat to Lesnar’s title is currently more believable than The Big Show.

It would be the perfect match and with Paul Heyman stuck in the middle, it would be unmissable TV.

2. Undertaker & Sting

This is the one match that the majority of the fans would like to see. Two of the biggest legends in the wrestling industry, the WWE’s most iconic superstar of all time and the biggest icon never to have stepped foot in a WWE ring.

This match should have happened 15 years ago when the WWE bought out WCW but sadly they only brought over the lower to mid-card talents. The feud doesn’t even need a storyline as it’s a match the fans just want to see, the WWE would simply need to promote how legendary these two superstars are. It’s simple and easy to plan out in the build up to Wrestlemania.

The only sad part about this feud would be the shape The Undertaker is in right now. After his match with Brock Lesnar, ‘Taker was in bad shape and didn’t look like himself during the match. Sting also hasn’t been wrestling on a regular basis so it would take time for the two men to plan the match and get into ring shape.

I would love to see this match at Wrestlemania 31 but who knows if it will happen?

3. AJ Lee & Stephanie McMahon

On the side of the divas, these two women are a cut above the rest. Stephanie has been a stand out character on TV for the past few years and she has been better than more than half the roster when it comes to the entertainment factor.

Aj Lee has been at the top of the divas division for a while and it seems there is no-one good enough or interesting enough to take the championship from her and have a good run with it. She has been in the middle of some of the biggest storylines over the last few years and everyone, whether you love or hate her, is interested in her.

Stephanie and Aj feuding over the divas championship would make for some great TV. Stephanie on a power trip wanting to take the title and prove that she is the only true dominant diva in the company is the perfect reason for her to challenge Aj Lee.
I would happily pay to see this match and as we seen at Summerslam, Stephanie can still go in the ring.

4. John Cena & Roman Reigns

Plain and simple, this is the only way to get Roman Reigns over with the fans as the next superstar to take the WWE into the future. Right now his star is shining brightly and everything looks promising for him, but until he takes on the golden boy he will never truly be able to be the next face of the company.

John Cena has been the face of the WWE for a long time now, for some of us it seems like forever, but his time will eventually come and the WWE will realise that they have to change to move forward.

I have every respect for Cena, his work ethic is unbelievable and he is the WWE through and through but the time will come for him to take a back seat and let someone else take the lead.

The WWE is building up Roman Reigns to be a big star but the only true way to do that is to put him against Cena, let the fans choose whose side they are on and run with it. Reigns could be at the top of the WWE for years to come but it’s upto the WWE when to pull the trigger.

Hopefully it will be soon!
