Impact 2-pack

Wrestling fans, let’s take look back at the most recent episodes of TNA Impact Wrestling. Tonight’s Rasslin Roundup will feature and discuss Sacrifice on April 26th 2016 and May 3rd 2016 TV taping.

Sacrifice led to two new champions being crowned and the debut of Rosemary as well. The show opened with a Tyrus in ring promo, which was met with a rebuttal and segued into the first match. Drew Galloway was the opponent for Tyrus, and Galloway would win and retain his title. We next follow up with two promos, with one backstage and the other is in-ring.

Beer Money is preparing for their upcoming match versus the Decay, and Gail is in the ring with a promo with Maria Kanellis-Bennett, wife and manager of the Miracle Mike Bennett. This was met with the debut in-ring of Rosemary who was accompanied by Crazzy Steve. Rosemary would win her debut match over Gail.

Eli Drake has a Fact of Life in-ring segment into a promo after this bout. First, a few weeks ago, it was Ken Anderson with a sit-down segment, and now that he is no longer under contract- Impact just puts in anybody to fill that initial spot?

Beer Money wrestles in a glorified Monster’s Ball match, ergo with a new title name for the match; against the Decay. However, and how apropos- because Roode has left the company and shows TNA is “taped” again- yawn. Beer Money loses the titles and we have new tag team champions in the Decay. It is written that Roode left because of money and opportunity, as Roode was owed money from Impact. Thus therefore, with a clean slate and new land to conquer, we have seen Bobby Roode sighted and negotiating with WWE NXT.

Bram in a No-DQ, King of the Mountain title match defeats his former friend and tag team partner; EY, Eric Young to win the title. After this, we are treated to a Reby Sky, Matt Hardy’s wife in a promo with Matt’s brother Jeff. The fallout is discussed about the brewing feud, jealousy and animosity between the two, along with past histories between the brothers. To this, Hardy commits a Twist of Fate on Rockstar Spud who was a mediator of sorts, more like agitator to Jeff Hardy- as the brother’s feud continues.

The main event for Sacrifice led to a Mike Bennett victory over EC3, Ethan Carter, the third.

May 3rd 2016 episode has the new KOTM champion defending his title against four other men. The champion will compete against Andrew Everett, Eli Drake, Jesse Godderz and Eddie Edwards. Bram would retain his title in the bout.

Maria continues to be a figurehead style role as a top diva, valet for Impact- the former Karen Angle and Traci Brooks role in 2016. She debuts Sienna who attacked Jade for holding her own values and individuality, which did not hold up to Maria’s vision.

Bobby Lashley has also challenged Galloway for the title, and is a feature bout and feud for Impact. However, on this night, Drew would defeat Eli Drake in an earlier match. Trevor Lee would keep his title and win over Mark Andrews.

Caleb Konley defeated Eddie Edwards, and the match with Jeff Hardy and Mike Bennett ended in a no-contest, due to Bobby Lashley interference. Meanwhile, an unmasked Abyss lost to James Storm in a singles one-on-one match.

Again, with more “no-contests” depicted and simplistic finishes led to Jade and Sienna ending as such; and the Lashley-Jeff Hardy match ended because of the altercation and challenge with Drew Galloway. Drew Galloway was the special referee in the contest.

Rockstar Spud lost in a cage match versus Ethan Carter the third.
