Old Skool View’s A Global Review Episode 2

Hello everybody and welcome to OSV’s A Global Review, and we’re on episode two. I must be honest I struggled to come up with three positives for the most recent episode of Impact however I got there in the end. So let’s get to it.

Three Good

Braxton Sutter vs Garza Jnr – The opening contest of the evening was the second best match on the show in my opinion. Garza has his eye on Allie, and did a few spots to impress her, and the post match response from Sutter towards Allie adds a layer for the inevitable break up they’ll be having soon. Garza also picked up the win and at 24 he could have a good future for the company.

Ethan Carter III vs Fantasma – This one was for the Grand Championship and these 9 minutes were the best in-ring action of the show. The match flowed really well and could have easily gone the way of Fantasma. I would really like for these two to go one on one without the Grand Championship rules being in place as it is one that could deliver.

Lashley & Moose Brawl –  It’s not often a brawl to end a show works well but this one did. I know all the talk is around Lashley leaving, but after this brawl we’re no doubt going to get Lashley vs Moose, i’d just like to see Lashley’s “Boys” being kept out of the way.

Three Bad

Highlight Package of oVe vs LAX –  I had massively high hopes that this match would steal the show then it comes to it and all we get as a small video package of the match? Now I kind of get they want to wait to actually show us the match go down, however why would you book the title match then do something like that?

Finish of Dutt vs Lee –  I must be honest, I was really enjoying this match until it got to the end when they ended up outside. First we get the obvious interference by Caleb Konley, but we also get a silly little roll up to end the match, which Dutt sold for a bit too long afterwards.

Johnny Impact vs Low Ki –  Again this match should have been something really good, but for whatever reason it seemed sloppy in many patches. Maybe I was expecting too much given the quality of the two men in the match however I was left rather disappointed with the match.

Do you agree with this weeks three good/three bad? Do you see things differently to me?  If you would like to get in touch about GFW Impact, about this article or about anything else you can hit me up on twitter @mrnebarry and you can discuss the world of wrestling with @SLTDWrestling.
