SLTD Predicts – Womens Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday. Will it be Tamina, Natalya, Charlotte, Carmella or Becky Lynch.

We all give our thoughts below but let us know in the comments below who you think will win!

@Chica_SLTD (Wrestle Chica)
This match is either going to go one of two ways. They are either going to give Charlotte yet another first or they are finally going to give someone else a time to shine! Since Charlotte has moved onto the main roster she has been given many of the firsts! She was the first Women’s Champion, the first women to win a steel cage match and is already a 4 time Women’s Champion and this has all happened within 2 years! For some reason WWE just love to put the huge wins on Charlotte and am not entirely sure why so if she wins on Sunday it wouldn’t shock me, it would probably explain why she was moved from RAW to Smackdown! However I really hope that on Sunday we see Carmella crowned as the first ever Mrs Money in the Bank. Since the brand split Carmella has been fantastic, even after being given James Ellsworth! Out of everyone in this match I feel like Carmella deserves this the most and with the character she is playing at the minute being the winner of the Money in the Bank match will fit in well!

I can’t seem to get a grasp on who is going to win. The 5 women participating don’t have a ton of momentum going into the match, so I’m going a little off the reservation with my prediction. Late in the match, 2 women, I don’t know exactly who and it doesn’t really matter, will fight for the briefcase only for it to drop to the ground where James Ellsworth is and he will pick up the briefcase and win the match and at some point cash it in himself.

@JoshMorrell (Wrestling World)
Becky has been in a creative slump as of late, in my opinion. Becky winning seems like the only real option to give Lana (when she wins the belt) a good working partner to get Lana to become a better wrestler overall. With Becky becoming the first SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, the history is on her side!

So for the first time ever five women will compete in a Money In The Bank match, and I must admit I’m nervous about this match. I honestly don’t know what to expect and I’ll put it out here first that I don’t want any of the female competitors getting hurt, because it’s highly possible to get injured in a ladder match, just ask Joey Mercury. However I’m nervous in the excited way, as this is a great moment for all five women to shine. But let’s speak about the elephant in the room. On Friday morning, WWE accidentally tweeted that six women will compete in this match, now is this just an error on WWE’s part and they’ve simply made a mistype or have they spoiled something huge? I’m going for the latter I think during the match all five women will be out and unable to move due to the toll of the ladder match, then James Ellsworth climbs the ladder but then the lights go out, they come back on and Asuka is standing at bottom of the ladder she tips Ellsworth off, and climbs the ladder herself and grabs the briefcase. Post match Asuka walks out of the ring and hits a groggy Charlotte with the briefcase, setting up their feud over the summer where Asuka puts the briefcase on the line. But my official prediction is that Asuka in a huge surprise and twist wins the Women’s Money In The Bank

Whilst I really do appreciate the fact they’re going to let the women do their own thing, I am finding hard to find a plausible winner in this match. Becky & Charlotte don’t need the briefcase for similar reasons to AJ & KO in the mens match. Natalya is doing some stellar work with this new faction and is probably too old skool for the win. So that leaves us with Tamina and Carmella. Tamina has never done a great deal, so Carmella, being the one who stands to gain the most so i’ll go with her, and her having a long run with the briefcase before cashing in.

@TownNation (The Fox Files)
Now as I said at the beginning. This is historic for what the women wrestlers are doing. They are doing the first EVER Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Now some would call this a shock, but I can only see them going down 1 route here: Carmella winning MITB.
BOLD PREDICTION: Lana wins Women’s title, Carmella cashes in the same night to win the women’s title.
So by the end of MITB, Carmella will be Women’s champion. I just look forward to seeing what the women pull off here, and hope they shock me with the quality of the match. Let’s wait and see!

@kieranthekiz (UKayfabe)
The Women’s Money In The Bank match is definitely a highly anticipated one. The Smackdown Live brand has been notorious for giving opportunities for superstars to become something, which is why I’m hoping Carmella’s hard work over the last 8 months is rewarded with a win.
Despite this, my heart says the winner should be Natalya. It’s easy to forget how long she’s been around for (since 2017) and I think she deserves to have that one defining moment in her career to look back on and be proud of.

@Tybo_SLTD (Tybo Talks)
This could easily be anyone’s match, I think it’s great that the women of WWE now seem to be getting the same opportunities as the men. I would be very shocked if this match is full of huge bumps and high spots, but it would awesome if someone did something special. Although I can see Ellsworth taking the biggest bump of the night. As for a winner, I can see any of the participants walking out Miss Money in the Bank, I think Natalya deserves it for everything she has done for the division, but honestly, as long as Charlotte doesn’t win i will be happy. Nothing against the queen, but she is ‘the first’ everything.
