Top 5 Survivor Series Elimination Matches

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m bringing to you the Top Five Survivor Series Elimination matches. The order I’ve chosen for each match is based on how important that match was at the time. We’ll start off with the 2014 Survivor Series match.

This match was the most important as we had Team Cena, (John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, Big Show, and Ryback), taking on Team Authority, (Seth Rollins, Kane, Mark Henry, Rusev, and Luke Harper). Everyone was tired of The Authority’s blatant abuse of power. The first man to be eliminated was Mark Henry after a K.O. punch from Show. Ryback was then eliminated after a brutal curb stomp from Seth. The match continued and we were down to Rollins and Dolph. Triple H stopped the ref’s count, but Sting made his debut by giving Triple H a Scorpion Death Drop. He pulls Dolph onto Rollins for the win. This was Dolph’s greatest performance in my opinion.

Next, we have the 2001 Team WWE, (The Rock, Chris Jericho, Kane and The Undertaker), taking on The Alliance, (Stone Cold, Booker T, Kurt Angle, RVD, and Shane McMahon). The match starts off with Shane being the first elimination. Next up Kane was eliminated by RVD. After some more eliminations, we’re down to The Rock and Stone Cold. This part of the match was magical. Rock hit Austin with his own move, The Stunner, and went for a pin. Nick Patrick comes out and pulls Earl Hebner out of the ring. Austin then hit Rock with a Rock Bottom, but only got a two count. The Rock hits the Rock Bottom on Austin for the win.

At the number three spot, we have the 2005 Team Raw, (Shawn Michaels, Kane, Big Show, Carlito, and Chris Masters) going against Team Smackdown, (Batista, Rey Mysterio, JBL, Bobby Lashley, and Randy Orton). First up to get eliminated was Bobby after a chokeslam from Kane helping Shawn to get the pin. After a 619 by Rey, and spinebuster on Kane, he gets eliminated. Moving forward the last remaining members are Shawn and Randy. Randy hits an RKO on Shawn to get the win for Smackdown. After the match, The Undertaker comes out. Randy and his father, Cowboy Bob Orton, managed to evade The Undertaker.

At the number four spot, we have the 2007 elimination match. Team Triple H consisted of Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterious, Kane, Matt Hardy, and Triple H. Team Umaga’s members were, Umaga, Mr Kennedy, MVP, Finlay, and Big Daddy V. Before the match, it was announced that Matt Hardy couldn’t compete due to an injury. First up to get eliminated was Kane after a monstrous elbow drop from Big Daddy V. After a miscommunication from Big Daddy V, causing him to land an elbow drop on Mr Kennedy, Triple H eliminated him. Big Daddy V was then eliminated after a double DDT from Triple H and Jeff. The match continued with the last remaining members, Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Finlay, and MVP. After a Pedigree to Finlay and a Swanton to MVP, team Triple H was victorious.

Last on our list, we have the 2009 elimination match. With team Mickie (Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Melina, Gail Kim, and Eve Torres), facing off against team Michelle (Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, and Alicia Fox). After getting hit with a K2 from Kelly Kelly, Layla was eliminated. Second to get eliminated was Gail, after being hit with a Faith Breaker from Michelle. Fast forward and we’re down to Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Melina, and Michelle McCool. After getting caught with a Crucifix from Mickie, Beth is the next to be eliminated. Mickie then hits a Thez Press on Alicia to eliminate her. Following a Last Call from Melina, Michelle is pinned and sealed the victory for team Mickie.
