So I’m not going to lie, I’m annoyed. Yes, it’s great that The Shield are back and everyone is happy about it. Twitter went mental, Instagram when, well I don’t know I don’t use it. The reason I’m annoyed is who they are coming back for. The Miz, The Club and Strowman. I mean, come on. That’s a joke and a waste of talent. So in this episode of WWMD, I look at who The Shield could have reunited against and why.

The Shield vs Balor Club

This match could have been huge. Everyone wants to see the Balor Club in WWE, in whatever form it may come in. Each wrestler could have their own feuds with the others in their own right, leading up to the 3 on 3 match. It would help put over Gallows and Anderson, it would help solidify Balor as a superstar and give everyone a nice warm feeling that we all love, hence being first on the list. Equally, The Shield won’t get damaged by the loss. This match could easily main event any WrestleMania.

The Shield vs The Wyatt Family

Yes, this match has already gone down once before, but it was rushed and hurried. The feud led to no where and was soon forgotten. Building Bray back up and the returning Harper and Rowan could easily be an amazing match. You have two fantastic speakers, one on either team. Throw into that combustible elements means you have a 5 star PPV match. Add in a rebellious Braun Strowman and I’m already drooling.

The Shield vs Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar and Triple H

This match has blockbuster plastered all over it. Each man in this match has had giant issues with the others. They’ve had 1 on 1 matches, title matches, PPV matches – you name it. Putting all 6 in the ring, at the same time is just letting WWE print their own money. This match could be built up and towards over months, leading to a match at Survivor Series. It doesn’t matter who goes over in this match however, everyone will come out a winner.

Closing thoughts

Whatever happens at TLC, the wrong thing will happen with The Shield being victorious. When we need new stars, they are born and the snuffed out. Equally, when we don’t need people pushed, they are pushed. The only way The Shield reunion will go well is if Strowman is made into a monster. The monster we all need and want.
