Wrestling Roundup is back to give you the latest body-slams and headlocks of wrestling action. Welcome back fans to another edition of WWE Smackdown. Let’s take a look back at what you may have missed.

The opening segment featured WWE Champion Roman Reigns and into a scuffle, promo segment with the IC Champ, The Miz and his wife/valet manager- Maryse. These two would face each other in the main event, with Reigns coming out on top.

More seeds being planted happened, post- main event. The ensuing encounter at Payback for the heavyweight title was imminent. Styles, Gallows and Anderson came out during the main event. Gallows and Anderson were the ones who attacked Reigns after the bell. Meanwhile, Styles holds steadfast regarding a neutral involvement with the current parties. The USO’s came down as an interference counter, to save Reigns and close out the show. Styles still holds his claim that his actions will ensue at Payback, when he takes Roman’s title.

In six man tag team action was the opening bout on the card. It featured an international flavor of the combatants, of all foreigners in the match. The first team of Cesaro, Sami Zayn and United States champion Kalisto defeated the League of Nations. The League featured Sheamus, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio. But due to miscommunication from the League trio, this led to a breakup of the team and the men have gone their separate ways.

In a rematch from RAW, Apollo Crews defeated Stardust in singles action. Baron Corbin defeated in a “squash” Damien Sandow.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass won their bout versus the Social Outcast members while the New Day came out to a promo and the Vaudevillians scouted from the stage of these proceedings.

Natalya and Women’s Champion Charlotte engaged in the Ambrose Asylum in the promo segment. Dean Ambrose hosted and “mediated” while the final war of words ensued until Payback.

Payback is Sunday May 1st on the WWE Network with an eight match card. Check it out only for $9.99 on the Network.
