*All-New* #ExtremeTalk: Extreme Rules, Extreme Bust (@ECW_BITW)

Hello everyone and welcome to Extreme Talk, my name is Brandon, and this month’s article I would like to discuss why WWE Extreme Rules “The Horror Show” was the biggest bust WWE has ever come up with. So enough messing around, let’s get extreme and dive right into this topic.

WWE Extreme Rule “The Horror Show” had a lot of promise to it, with Bray Wyatt, A.K.A the “Fiend” taking on Braun Strowman at the Wyatt Swamp, and Drew Mcintyre taking on Dolph Ziggler in a match of Ziggler’s choice.

However, I believe WWE forgot what the word “Extreme” meant. There were little to no extreme moments from this PPV and what made it even worse was WWE trying to make it look extreme from that ‘Eye for an Eye’ match between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins. Let me break down the card and it will show just how non-extreme this PPV was.

The first match was a Tables Match between the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, The New Day taking on the unexpected duo of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura for the titles. This match was one of the matches that actually felt like an old Tables Match from back in the day. It was an exciting match to start off the night, then went downhill in the next match.

The Smackdown Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Nikki Cross, which little believed Nikki was going to beat Bayley. After that match, we finally got the Eye-for-an-Eye match, which was sickening to watch but at the same time, when you see the fake eye Mysterio was holding in his hand, you felt really disappointed by a match with so much promise, not only that, but we all wanted Rollins to get his eye smashed, so it was a bust moment for me.

Then we get one of the most ridiculous endings to a championship match I have ever seen in my entire life. The Raw Women’s Champion Asuka took on Sasha Banks, after Asuka spayed the ref in the eye, acting like shes Tajiri, Bayley then puts on the ref shirt, counts Sasha the 1.2.3, and left everyone more confused than when Stone Cold turned heel and became partners with Triple H in classic WWE days.

Then we got a match that had to be the biggest upset for any Extreme fan on the planet, Mcintyre vs Ziggler, where Ziggler was the only one allowed to use Extreme Rules stipulation. I know we live in the PG Era now but come on WWE, show a little more extreme and maybe a little blood here and there.

We then get the main event, Wyatt vs Strowman, Wyatt Swamp Fight. The production on this match was done perfectly, and everything was done right, like including Alexa Bliss as a Sister Abigail illusion, but when the “Fiend” showed up at the end, I was really disappointed because I thought the “Eater of Worlds” was back for good then we get the “Fiend” coming back at the end and I just couldn’t believe WWE would do that.

Overall this PPV being named “The Horror Show” was a perfect description of it, a real horror show. WWE, get back to the good days of extreme, show some blood, have even more extreme moments, and don’t be afraid to push the limits again.
