We thought it was important to let all of the fans and friends of SLTD Radio know what’s been going with the site and the podcast over the last few months. It’s been obvious to everyone that every member of the SLTD Radio team and the site in general have been quieter than usual of late. We just wanted to let everyone know some of the reasons why, so here goes – we’re breaking kayfabe again!
The main difference has been that both Mark (@Mark_TUW) and Brad (@Brad_SLTD) are not as involved in the site as they used to be. Mark is concentrating on running his own website, Tie-Up Wrestling, which includes doing a dedicated podcast to all of the happenings from Impact Wrestling. If you get a minute, check his site out at – tieupwrestling.blogspot.co.uk. It’s a great site and hopefully we’ll work together in the future. Brad on the other hand went power crazy, had a breakdown and has since moved to Tibet to become a monk… We’re joking! Right now, Brad is as involved as he can be, mainly with live events. That’s why the Twitter account formerly known as @SLTDRadio is now @SLTDLive.
That leaves me (@Greg_SLTD) and George (@George_SLTD), as well as our crew of amazing writers and YouTube contributors. George, as always, is the General Manager, looking after all of the writers and I’m the 5-Star General. Yeah I said it. And what? Haha…
As you can see, the team has been halved in a matter of months so George and I had to find out what we could and couldn’t do. We went back to basics and decided to concentrate on the site and its fundamentals. It’s still a work in progress, but we’re getting there and we want to get bigger and better than we ever were. We just need to get our house in order first, that’s all.
I want to also address why SLTD Radio has been MIA lately. The basic reason is that we talked it over as a collective unit and we decided that if we couldn’t bring you the show that you know and love every week, then we wouldn’t bring it. The worst thing we could’ve done was to keep doing shows every week when they wouldn’t have been as good. For the good of the show, we put it on the backburner for the time being and it will return on a full-time basis when the time is right.
Trust me when I say this. SLTD Radio will be back. We’re already planning a Wrestlemania Special! When we’ve got more news and further details about it, we’ll let you know.
I wanted to finish this off by saying thanks to everyone who is, or has been, involved with the site. To all of our writers, our YouTube contributers, graphic designers, podcasters, wrestlers and promoters. Trust me, we will be back sooner than you know it and we’ll be better than ever!
