Davie’s Dungeon: So Many Questions… What Are The Answers?

Welcome to the dungeon!

Is it “best for business” to have two middle-aged men who are past their prime in the WWE’s main storyline? For once, it is!

The Authority and The Big Show are doing a fantastic job in this feud. As much as I thought I didn’t want to see Triple H take up so much TV time, I’m finding that I’m enjoying the storyline more and more each week. I love that The Shield have been included, along with Randy Orton. It feels as though we’re back in the Attitude Era with The Corporation.

The ending to Raw this week was fantastic with the beat-down of The Big Show. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see Vince McMahon returning, but it just makes me want to keep tuning in every week, waiting for him to come back! I thought we were going to end up with HHH against the Big Show at Survivor Series, but thankfully that isn’t happening. As much as The Big Show has been entertaining, I’m still not interested in seeing him in a high-profile match, which is why I also don’t think he should be in the main-event at Survivor Series.

There are a few questions that this feud has given us. We already know that we’re going to get a big pay-off to this feud at WrestleMania once Vince returns, but who will he get to fight for him? What will happen to The Big Show in the long run? When will Daniel Bryan return to the main-event picture?

I’m praying we don’t end up seeing The Big Show versus HHH at WrestleMania. As good as Triple H still is in the ring, having him go up against The Big Show just doesn’t have that “big fight” feel. The WWE needs someone who can work hard in the ring and put on an entertaining match. Personally, I’d like to see The Shield split up and Vince choose either Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns to go against HHH at ‘Mania. If I was booking this feud, I’d have either one of those men go against HHH and have the other two remain heels and take on The Big Show at WrestleMania in a handicap match. Doing so would keep Big Show involved in the storyline for the long run.

As we saw on Raw, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are seemingly going to team up in a feud against The Wyatt Family.

At first, I was unsure about this feud as Daniel Bryan has been so hot in the chase for the WWE Championship, but I think it can only be good for him in the long run. The team of Bryan and Punk is pure gold when it comes to wrestling. The crowds are going to go nuts every time they see Punk and Bryan together, and it will only help to establish Daniel Bryan even more as a main player.

Once the feud is over, it should be no surprise to see Daniel Bryan against Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. He can easily be entered back into the main event by The Authority claiming they are the ones who got The Wyatt Family to take out Bryan and Punk. If Daniel Bryan does re-enter the title race though, what happens to CM Punk?

If it was down to me, I’d like to see a triple-threat match at WrestleMania between Punk, Bryan and Orton for the WWE Championship. The only thing that puts me off though is having two babyfaces in one match. For Daniel Bryan to be cemented as the ultimate fan favourite, he needs to chase the championship on his own and not have CM Punk in the mix beside him.

All the rumours seem to suggest that we will see Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker at WrestleMania, so it’s unlikely that CM Punk will continue his feud with Heyman that far down the line. If Punk isn’t involved in the title race though, what does the WWE do with him for WrestleMania?

CM Punk should be involved in the main-event, there’s no doubt about it, but at the same time, Daniel Bryan needs to have the spotlight solely on him when he eventually captures the WWE Championship. After all the hard work the WWE have done building Daniel Bryan into a credible title contender, they don’t want to throw it all away by having another fan favourite in the way. Hopefully CM Punk will be involved in one of the many major storylines we will see leading up to WrestleMania.

Right now there are so many different directions the WWE can take with their storylines and so many questions that will need to be answered. It’s going to be an interesting ride on the road to WrestleMania!
