The new National Championship belt was unveiled by Jeff Jarrett and Magnum TA in Nashville, TN at the NWA70 event. Willie Mack outlasted seven other men and in the finals defeated Samuel Shaw to win the new NWA National Title. The celebration after the match was a moment for WIllie Mack to take in what the last ten years of his wrestling career has meant. As the NWA National Champion, Willie must defend the title against all comers including this his first NWA National Title Defense. Willie got the attention of NWA fans on #TenPoundsOfGold and his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match with Cody Rhodes back in October and now represents the National Wrestling Alliance as the NWA National Champion. His next challenger revealed today is Samuel Shaw – the man he defeated in the finals at NWA 70. Samuel Shaw caught a lot of fans by surprise at NWA 70th Anniversary show when he won the opening qualifying match and advances to the finals.
