As many of you will be aware by now, Kurt Angle will be “retiring from TNA” on the TNA UK tour in 2016! Now, the reason I have put that into quotes is because that is what the truth is, all that has been announced is that Kurt Angle will be retiring from TNA during their next UK tour! Not once has he said that he will be retiring fully, from all wrestling, contrary to what is being reported and understood by many!
Although he will be retiring from TNA, he has also said that he will be taking a small break from wrestling. While also signing a commentary deal with Bellator MMA. Now, what does this mean? After the deal in MMA has finished, and after his small break could we be fortunate enough to see Kurt Angle for one last time in the WWE ring?
I am sure that I speak for the majority of wrestling fans when I say that I would love to see Kurt Angle have one last run in WWE! He has now spent longer in TNA than he ever did in WWE, however, I am sure we would all still remember Kurt Angle’s amazing matches within the WWE, and would love to see him given one last run, a retirement run!
Now, some have been saying that this seems unlikely due to Kurt Angles history with injuries, and his age, however, when you see that Sting has signed and wrestled in the WWE recently, while in his mid 50s, you have to believe that age would not be a concern! Surely if we the fans continue to voice our opinions, then maybe Kurt could get one final run in the WWE. However, if he doesn’t have a wrestling return to WWE would you consider him to be Hall Of Fame quality? Simply put the answer is yes! However, some of his best work was in TNA and with WWE unwilling to comment or mention TNA on their programming how likely would it be that he would get inducted in the next few years? Maybe not as likely as it should be!
