Mouthing Off With MikeJC: #SLTDPredicts #3Count: #WrestleMania 38, Raw Women’s Championship match Becky Lynch versus Bianca Belair (@MikeJC821)

WrestleMania is upon us, and one of the biggest matches on the card is for the RAW Women’s Championship, where the champion, Becky Lynch defends against Bianca Belair. This story is eight months in the making, it goes all the way back to SummerSlam 2021 when Bianca Belair was meant to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks, unfortunately for undisclosed reason Sasha was unable to compete. At that point Bianca had no opponent so out came Carmella, who Bianca had already beaten on numerous occasions after some time passed as they argued Becky Lynch returned to an enormous ovation and disposed of Carmella in very quick fashion and challenged Bianca. Bianca accepted and Becky would offer her hand then punch Bianca and hit the Manhandle Slam and secure the victory and the championship after only 26 seconds.

Bianca would get a rematch at Extreme Rules but it would end in a no contest thanks to the return of Sasha, and then another opportunity at the month’s that followed pay-per-view Crown Jewel in a triple threat also including Sasha, but Bianca never did win the belt back. After champions changed brands and traded championships. Bianca would see herself in the picture once again this time on Raw, first attempting to win the Royal Rumble once again making it to the final four but coming short of repeating that feet. It was at Elimination Chamber that six women would compete for the chance to face the Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania, and that’s how we got here. The build from Elimination Chamber to now has been very interesting and I am going to give my three counts for this match, why Becky Lynch should win, Why Bianca Belair should win, and who I think should win. So let’s get right into it.

Why Becky Lynch Should Win:

Becky Lynch should win this match if there is a plan in place to build someone up to eventually beat her. There’s no denying her popularity and the Big Time Becks character has been her best character work of her entire career. It’s an opposite from “The Man” character where she was playing herself times ten this is an obnoxious fictionalized version who only cares about one thing and that’s being on top. Her promos have been better then ever, her in ring work is on another level, everything about her says she cares about what she’s doing right now. WWE could see this as something that is too good to stop and we’ve seen this happen numerous times in the past, WWE sticking with what they know and what they have instead of taking chances.

Why Bianca Belair Should Win:

It’s pretty simple, Bianca should win because of the trials and tribulations she’s gone through since losing, Bianca should win because it’s what the entire crowd wants to see, Bianca should win because it would be her redemption for everything she’s been through since last August. Becky never got her comeuppance and the only person that can do that is Bianca. When Becky beat her in 26 seconds it turned Becky into the character she is now and did something that WWE wanted from the fans but they just did it in there WWE way and that’s get sympathy for a babyface. Now you could argue (and you’d be right) that it shouldn’t have taken this long for Bianca to get here, because eight months is too long for a heel to get what they deserve. Regardless, Bianca should win because it’s the right thing to do.

Who I Think Should Win:

To me there is no question that Bianca should win, she has been through enough to get here and it’s her time to finally get back on top and get her revenge for what Becky did to her at SummerSlam 2021. It’s time for Becky to get that comeuppance that’s been building since that moment. It’s time for Bianca to be the star we always new she was after last years WrestleMania. It’s time for new contenders to step up, and for them to have classic matches with Bianca. There’s no way that we don’t build to this moment for this long not for Bianca to win. Bianca takes her rightful spot at the time and hopefully the division as a whole moves onward and upward from there.
