#RawReport – 15th October 2018 (@Runner_rope)

Here are the main talking points from this week’s Raw which saw the implosion of a main event trio.

The Dogs of war split

Despite teases from The Shield that they were no longer on the same page, It was Braun Strowman and his pack that severed ties with each other. After a losing effort to The Hounds of Justice, Strowman finally snapped and took out his frustrations on Dolph Ziggler by hitting him with a running power slam. Ziggler’s tag partner Drew McIntyre didn’t take too kindly to this and pummelled Strowman with a Claymore kick before leaving the ring. I hope this means that the feud between the trios is over and that in the near future we get a programme between Strowman and McIntyre, who would definitely steal the show in a one-on-one match.

Rousey tears into The Bellas

Wanting answer from last week’s betrayal, Ronda Rousey took to the ring and demanded The Bellas explained why they attacked her last week. The Bellas proclaimed that they paved the way for divas in WWE by knocking down doors. Rousey hit back with the line as she said to Nikki “The only door you’ve knocked down is the one to John Cena’s bed, and then he threw you out the exact same door.” Rousey’s mic skills are certainly improving and this segment was a good way to hype then main event of WWE Evolution on October 28.

Push for Crews?

Whilst Elias was ripping into the crowd like he usually does, he was routinely interrupted by an unsuspecting superstar. It was none other than Apollo Crews who didn’t take too kindly to Elias’ words. After an exchange of harsh words, Crews put Elias in his place with an impressive gorilla press before The Drifter scurried to the back. I hope Apollo gets enough time to show his immense talent, as he could be a solid mid-card baby face.

Angle outsmarts Corbin

Former Raw general manager Kurt Angle returned from his vacation this week and was greeted by an unhappy Baron Corbin. Corbin was not happy with the stunt Angle pulled last week by inserting himself into the WWE World cup. For his actions, Corbin put Angle in a 2-on-1 handicap against The Authors of Pain. After this one-sided match, AOP unveiled the El Concistador to be a common jobber, this allowed Angle to sneak up on Corbin on the stage to deliver an Olympic slam to the acting GM. I’m pretty sure this will lead to a team Angle v team Corbin at Survivor Series and maybe even a one-on-one match between them in the future.

Rollins and Ziggler qualify

The final two Raw qualification spots for the WWE World cup were filled this week when Seth Rollins defeated Drew McIntyre via count out, and Dolph Ziggler beat Dean Ambrose. They will join John Cena, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and The Miz in an eight-man to determine the best in the world. Any combination of singles match between these eight is definitely must see.
