SLTD Discuss: Smackdown Tag Championship – The Usos vs New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers (@SLTDWrestling)

Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at WrestleMania. Will it be the Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos or will The New Day or The Bludgeon Brothers become the new champions?

We all give our thoughts below, let us know in the comments below who you think will win!

Another match that can steal the show, these three teams can all put in stellar performances in the ring and I have no doubt that they will do so on Sunday. I hope that in the coming days or at least before Wrestlemania WWE announce that this match will be TLC match as adding that stipulation to the match would really make this an outstanding match. That angle they did for this feud at Fastlane was very well executed and the build towards Wrestlemania has been awesome. If this match is given the right amount of time then it will leave the audience astonished. I think The Bludgeon Brothers will win this one as their booking since their debut has led them to this moment to win the Smackdown tag-team titles.

I surprisingly like the looks of this match. As Mr Tag-Team Wrestling, I’m usually a man who favours traditional tag team wrestling. However, in this case, I really like all three teams in this match. The Usos and New Day obviously are the best teams on the main roster right now, and the Bludgeon Brother, well despite their obvious foam hammers, are great big men.

I see the Bludgeon Brothers going over here, SmackDown needs a strong heel tag team, especially with the slight chance that Sanity or AoP may come up to main after Mania.

So we’ve got two tag teams who can put on a 5-star match and the Bludgeon Brothers being (finally) put in the tag team title picture. This should be fun!
The build for this match has been fantastic, better than the Raw Tag Team match by far. With this match, we’ve seen the Bludgeons (can we call them that?) destroy The Usos and then New Day, before this coming back to bite them on the ass. Even then, no tag team has looked weak compared to the others.

Each team has had its time to show they are the dominant power on SmackDown and each team has put over the others too. Whatever happens in this match, I’m happy to say that no-one will come out of it looking like the weaker team. Each team can do some good with the Titles. If the Usos retain, they can still cement their legacy as SmackDown’s Tag Champions. If New Day win, then they can run with the belts again as they have done previously. Finally, if the Bludgeons (I’m dropping the Brothers) win, they get put over as SmackDown’s number one.

On the flip side, if any team loses then it won’t hurt them. The Usos and New Day are more than capable of putting anyone over as a capable opponent. Hell, if there was a tag match featuring myself and Sully against either team, they could make us look good. If Team Bludgeon (now THAT sounds good) got pinned, then we can chalk it up to not being their time and they can continue their rampage before going for the belts again at SummerSlam. Whatever happens, they will all put on a hell of a match. Weighing this all up, my favourites for the win have to be Team Bludgeon. Let’s see what they can do with the belts!

Finally, The Usos get a Tag Team match on the main Wrestlemania card, and what a match it should be, New Day and The Usos had arguably the best feud of the year in 2017. then add Harper and Rowan to the mix will make this match must see. Luke Harper, in my opinion, is one of the most underutilized wrestlers in WWE, he’s close to 300 pounds and he pulls out moves like he’s a cruiserweight, he’s honestly world championship material. As of writing this, I’m watching Smackdown Live and there’s a possibility that the match becomes a no DQ match or a TLC match. Considering the build Bludgeon Brothers have got since their repackage, I think they should win. This, in my opinion, will be the sleeper pick of the PPV.

The New Day and Usos rivalry has been possibly the best thing on Smackdown for the last few months, so adding The Bludgeon Brothers to that can only match this one even better. This has the potential to be an absolutely fantastic match, with none stop action. As for a winner, any one of the teams could win. I would personally like The Bludgeon Brothewould be a good change of pace for the Tag Team Division as it would help mix up seeing challengers. This could be the Tag Match of the Night, regardless of the finish.
