Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at WrestleMania. Will it be the United States Champion Randy Orton or will Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode or Rusev become the new champion?

I really don’t know how this is going to go and it’s not because they’ve done such a great job in upholding the unpredictability. This United States title has become the ultimate pass-around title in pro wrestling that there’s really no telling what WWE will do with it, and not in a good way. Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Bobby Roode all held the title in the last 12-13 months or so. This title does nothing to elevate the holders and there’s really no gain for whoever wins this match? If Randy Orton wins, so what? He’s been a WORLD champion 12 times or so before this. If Bobby Roode wins, he wins a title he just lost at Fastlane, Whoopdie- do. If Jinder Mahal wins, so what? He was the WWE Champion for the better part of 2017. Who cares if he wins the mid-card title? I’m pretty sure a Mojo Rawley title reign is coming in 2018, by which point who cares? I believe Bobby Roode or Jinder Mahal is going to win. I can’t imagine Randy Orton holding the title. Why? Why does he need such a belt?This US title… sucks.

This match as a triple threat with Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode was looking pretty stale, but now with the inclusion of Rusev this past week on Smackdown, I’m a lot more invested. the build for this match has been poor but now with Rusev in the mix, he can turn this match into an entertaining one. The Bulgarian Brute has to win at Mania otherwise this point would be completely pointless. If Rusev wins we will hear the loudest “RUSEV DAY” chant yet. So if you haven’t guessed it yet, I want Rusev to win. On Rusev Day too!!!!

Three simple words… Thank you Rusev. I wasn’t interested in this match at all until the “Lion of Bulgaria” was added on last week’s Smackdown Live, the original triple threat match was pre-show worthy and I probably would’ve considered giving it a miss. However, now Rusev has saved the day and RusevMania will be running wild I will be watching this match with a fair amount of excitement. I think there can only be one winner and that man is Rusev.

I think that this match would have been fine if it was just Orton vs Roode as it feels a bit like they are just trying to get as many names on the card as possible and if am being honest I don’t think they will end up having enough time for everything, even if it is 7 hours long! I actually don’t mind any of these winning the US championship as I like them all as champions! The build-up to this has been really good and adding Rusev in last minute isn’t as bad as you first think as he will really get the crowd involved in this match. Personally, I think Roode will win the championship back as for me he didn’t have it long enough! Orton for me is too big for it and Mahal and Rusev have been added to add something different to it but both don’t deserve the championship just yet.

Does anyone else think that Orton just doesn’t fit in the United States Championship picture?
I’m not saying he should be in the WWE Championship picture but this just feels like a really strange fit for him. I think it was a genius move to add Rusev to this match, he is more over than most on Smackdown and deserves far more than a spot in the Battle Royal. I honestly think anyone of these guys could walk out with the Championship and it would make sense. I would love it to be Rusev or even Mahal but this should be where Roode moves up to the main event picture.
Although Roode has feuded with both Nakamura and Styles, Roode just screams WWE World Championship material. This could be the sleeper match that knocks it out the stadium.
