This week SLTD Wrestling have done something a little different, Tybo (@TyboTalks) sorted a cheeky Q & A with Richard of New Force Wrestling. NFW
Tybo: For anyone that doesn’t know, can you tell everyone about New Force Wrestling?
Richard: New Force Wrestling is a family-friendly company based in Iver (Berkshire and Borders with West London) – We put on shows aimed at families, for a great day out, and a great price. We focus more on the future of British Wrestling, rather than the ‘Now’. So while you may not see any ‘Big stars’ in NFW, all guys we get in we believe are the New Forces of Professional Wrestling.
We also have our academy open, where we are looking to create our own stars from within, and teach them everything they need to know about the business, and how to be successful and push on within it.
Tybo: What made you want to set up a wrestling company?
Richard: When I was growing up, and I got into wrestling while being a wrestler, there were no companies near me, I live in West London, and to train, I had to travel to North, East and South London, just to learn how to wrestle, and sometimes even further. I wanted to create something here, for people who didn’t want to, or couldn’t travel far to see it, we brought the Wrestling to them.
Tybo: NFW is now branching out to the mobile gaming market, was this an easy transition?
Richard: It was hard at first, but the concept was easy for the game, as we did physical trading cards (Which you can purchase through our website or at our shows) So all we wanted to do was make that digital. I found some great artists who designed and made the cards, people to do the game UI, found a Developer that was as excited about the project as we were, and away we went. We have been working on it since late October, so lots of time and effort has been spent into making this.
Tybo: For those who don’t know, can you explain the ‘NFW Trading Card Mobile Game’?
Richard: As I said in the previous question, it is a trading card game. So you collect and level up your best cards, in order to beat anyone you come across. The game will have guys from NFW past, present and even adding future cards into the game, as our roster grows.
Single-player modes include the Road to the Championship, where you take on people from the NFW roster until you reach our Champion, Alexander Roth in the chance to defeat him. This will have 3 levels (So far), Monthly events where you compete for Promo cards, either against the computer or other players in a ranking system.
Multiplayer where you can face friends or anyone from the NFW fan universe. Locker room where you can upgrade and change your deck to your favourite cards. Store, where you can buy packs and special offers.
(In-App purchases are available, but they aren’t required to play the game). The game is FREE TO PLAY. With much more coming in the future.
Tybo: Is mobile gaming something NFW always had their sights on?
Richard: It wasn’t originally, but we did Physical trading cards and I always wanted to move to digital. We wanted to be the first company to do anything of this kind on the Indy level.
Tybo: What devices can players get your game on?
Richard: The game will be coming to Android and IOs. So neither player has to miss out!
Tybo: What does the future hold for NFW?
Richard: The future for NFW will be to continue to put on shows for our great fans, from that, look into bigger venues. Looking to create stars from our Academy, just getting our Trading card game out there. If this one does well, who knows, we could look into doing a different style of game for a second, but that is a way off yet!
