#TheWrestlingBrain: Hell in a Cell – Predictions (@callumowen98) #HIAC

Hello everyone it’s me once again TWB, and I’m here for some Hell In A Cell predictions, I hope we are all doing well, and looking forward to Sunday night’s PPV. Let’s get started with our first match of the night.

Otis Vs The Miz
(Otis Money In The Bank Briefcase is on the Line)

This, in my opinion, is a must-win match for The Miz, he and John Morrison have really been a comedy act for this entire year, whereas if booked correctly both men should be taken seriously. Otis as Mr. Money In The Bank has been an absolute flop, I didn’t buy it when he won the briefcase, and really I can’t picture him holding the Universal Championship.

Miz wins this one here and I wouldn’t be shocked if he reappears later on this PPV.
Winner and new Mr. Money In The Bank – The Miz

Jeff Hardy Vs Elias

This has pretty much only had a two week build, as Jeff Hardy was attacked by Elias following him being drafted to Raw, however, the feud still somewhat stems from what took place a few months ago on Smackdown, when Elias was hit by a car and Hardy was framed.

I can see this rivalry going on for the rest of the year, with matches taking place on both Raw and PPV’s, therefore my guess is this one ends in a DQ finish when Elias hits Hardy with his guitar, so Jeff is the victor but Elias is the one left standing tall.
Winner (by disqualification) – Jeff Hardy

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (C) Vs Randy Orton
(Hell in a Cell Match)

This will be the third and in my opinion the final match in the McIntyre/Orton rivalry, which has gone on since Summerslam. Much like their previous two title clashes, this one is tough to call, Orton is the top heel on Raw, and losing three times in a row on PPV doesn’t do much to his credibility. McIntyre has been a fantastic world champion and really I have to question what does Drew do if he wasn’t holding the title, would he be in some sort of feud with Retribution, The Fiend, or Braun Strowman?

I think Drew wins this one in a no pun intended hellacious battle. As for Orton, maybe keep him off TV for a few months before bringing him back for the Royal Rumble where his feud with Edge restarts.

Post-match: A tired and beaten down Drew is attacked by The Miz who successfully cashes in his Money In The Bank and becomes the new WWE Champion. This then leads to a Drew/Miz rivalry which can perhaps culminate at the Royal Rumble where Drew reclaims his championship.
Winner and new WWE Champion – The Miz

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley (C) Vs Sasha Banks
(Hell In A Cell Match)

This is the match I’m most looking forward to, the Bayley and Banks friendship now turned into a blood feud has been some of the best storytelling I’ve seen in a long time, and really until the return of Roman Reigns, the former Golden Role Models were carrying Smackdown and even Raw on their backs throughout this pandemic era.

Now personally I’d have preferred seeing this match take place at Wrestlemania, however, I anticipate Banks and Bayley to have at least 20 minutes on Sunday night, whereas there’s the obvious worry that they may not get enough time on a stacked Mania card.

Bayley’s reign as champion has lasted over a year, she’s beaten pretty much everyone that was on the Smackdown roster (pre-draft) and really it feels that if she loses the title it will be against Banks, but the obvious question is will it be this Sunday?

I personally think it will be, I feel it’s time, it’s Boss Time. Sasha Banks will become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion, she can then take on all comers like Bianca Belair, Carmella, Liv Morgan, and Ruby Riott, but not a rematch against Bayley.

As incredible as this feud has been let’s take a bit of a break, considering how long we’ve waited for this match that is finally taking place on Sunday, we don’t need to see consecutive PPV or TV bouts between the two, which I feel is a trap that WWE falls into too often, if we see Bayley Vs Banks again in the next year save it, make people excited to see it again, we’ve waited for a proper match between the two for what feels like ages, so make us wait for it again.
Winner and new Smackdown Women’s Champion – Sasha Banks

Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (C) Vs Jey Uso
(Hell In A Cell I Quit Match)

I don’t care if this match is the most predictable one on the card because ultimately the result will make a whole lot of sense, I won’t waste too much time building this match-up, because quite honestly I don’t think I need to, as Roman Reigns and Jey Uso have done that job for me. This feud alongside the aforementioned Bayley Vs Banks is why Smackdown is the must-see show in WWE right now.

I think this one ends up on the top of the cell, and Roman is about to throw Jey off, this is when Uso says I quit, Reigns then hugs him before pushing him off the cell, then the closing shot of the PPV is Roman Reigns on top of the cell with the Universal Championship looking down at his fallen cousin.
Winner and still Universal Champion – Roman Reigns
