#TheWrestlingBrain Predicts: #Wrestlemania Night Two (@callumowen98)

Hello and welcome to Night Two of the Wrestlemania 37 predictions, I am The Wrestling Brain, and we have 7 more matches left to dissect following Night One.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax (C) Vs The Riott Squad
Women’s Tag Team Championship

Editors Note: This was written before Night One

So as I’ve said in my Night One predictions, I’ve got Riott Squad winning the Tag Team Turmoil Match, and I want them to walk out of Wrestlemania as Tag Team Champions.

I’m pretty bored of Nia and Shayna as tag champs, I’m not a huge fan of either of them and it feels they’ve been protected especially in Nia’s case more than Banks and Asuka.

So whether or not Riott Squad wins on Night One, I’d like to see new tag team champions crowned on Sunday.
Winners and new Women’s Tag Team Champions – The Riott Squad

Riddle (C) Vs Sheamus
United States Title Match

If we hadn’t seen this match on Raw a few weeks ago, I’d be looking forward to it a lot more than I actually am.

Both Riddle and Sheamus have great chemistry with one another so no doubt we’ll get another clinic between the two. Riddle only became US Champion at Elimination Chamber defeating Bobby Lashley and John Morrison in a Triple Threat, but Sheamus is doing the best in-ring work of his career, and him having a US Title run would be really enjoyable.

However it seems that Riddle is liked by Vince McMahon which goes a long way, so I think the safe pick here is that Riddle retains.
Winner and still US Champion – Riddle

The Fiend Vs Randy Orton

I was really expecting this to be a Firefly Funhouse Match, and I think I’d prefer it a lot more if it were. I really haven’t been at all interested in this feud from day one, Wyatt and Orton in the ring just don’t click, their match at Wrestlemania 33 was a complete dud and I’m not holding out for any miracles here.

The build to Wrestlemania hasn’t been as good as it should be, but thankfully the quality of talent involved should cover for the poor booking, the two matches I’m least looking forward to is this one and Shane Vs Braun, but at least we know Shane O’Mac will fall off the cage which is something I can be excited about, besides hopefully the end of the feud there’s nothing for me in this one.

I’ll just say Fiend wins, and Orton disappears from TV for a bit.
Winner – The Fiend

Big E (C) Vs Apollo Crews
Nigerian Drum Match
Intercontinental Championship

This from my perspective is a lose-lose scenario for both men, if Big E drops the IC Title where does he go next, and as for Crews he’s been defeated by Big E on numerous occasions that another failure will surely send back down the pecking order, but even him winning wouldn’t feel as important because of the number of times he’s lost over the course of the last few months.

I think Big E has to win, he’s surely got to be the next big star, he’s got energy, charisma and the look to become Universal Champion tomorrow if you needed him to be. Crews has just been booked to lose so many times that it’s difficult to care about him, and I quite like his new character but have him go on a winning streak where he beats the Mysterio’s or Buddy Murphy and make him look a serious threat before placing him in the title picture.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion – Big E

Kevin Owens Vs Sami Zayn
(with Logan Paul)

I’m not going to lie I’m worried that the involvement of Logan Paul is going to overshadow what could be an incredible Mania match. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are two of the best wrestlers on the planet and we know from past experiences, that they can tear the house down and create magic.

Personally, the way I’d book this is Owens and Zayn are having a clinic, and then Logan Paul interferes and instead of trying to help The Great Liberator Zayn, he costs him the match, post-match Zayn gets in Paul’s face who knocks out Sami, and from there Paul turns around into a Stunner from KO.
Winner – Kevin Owens

Asuka (C) Vs Rhea Ripley
Raw Women’s Championship

Until this week’s Raw, I was still half-expecting seeing Charlotte Flair inserted into this match, however, I think now that Rhea has turned heel, I imagine it’ll stay one on one.

Asuka’s title reign has been a real disappointment and it’s so sad because it could’ve been so much better, but she’s not even felt the most important thing on the Raw Women’s roster, there have been times you could easily forget that she’s even champion.

I have a lot of hope for Rhea Ripley, personally, I think she could’ve joined Raw or Smackdown far earlier than she actually did, it’s crazy to think that she’s only 24, there’s certainly a lot of time for her to grow into a megastar.

Whilst it was a surprise I think there’s a logical reason for Ripley turning heel, so I’m picturing Ripley beats Asuka and becomes the new Raw Women’s Champion. Then on the post-Mania Raw, we get the return of Becky Lynch.
Winner and new Raw Women’s Champion – Rhea Ripley

Roman Reigns (C) Vs Edge Vs Daniel Bryan
Universal Championship

Both of the World Title matches are really difficult to predict and that’s really good because I just have no clue who will leave Wrestlemania as champion.

I’m buzzing to see this Triple Threat, the chemistry between the 3 competitors is just off the charts. I’ve written a separate article, especially about this match so I won’t really do much here to break it down, if you want my thoughts on the build feel free to head over and give that a read.

Roman Reigns has been on the best form of his career since returning at Summerslam last year, the heel role suits him perfectly and quite frankly I haven’t thought about his days as a smiling babyface who said suckering suckertash for a very long time. But for some reason I just don’t see him retaining on Sunday night, I don’t see him being involved in the finish either which would at least keep him protected, I’m just thinking that with this match going on last, I can picture a real feel-good moment to close Wrestlemania.

I’m probably in the minority who actually wants an Edge victory, over the course of the last 15 months life has been pretty rough but seeing Edge back in the ring has given me something to be positive and smile about and much like what happened following his Rumble win, I know I’ll probably get emotional if he walks out with the Universal Title.

My heart says Edge but my head says Daniel Bryan, if there’s going to be that moment that will be shown for years to come, I can picture it being Bryan holding the Universal Title a loft with fans joining him in the Yes chant.

So I think that’s what’s going to happen, Bryan makes Edge tap to the Yes lock and becomes the new Universal Champion.
Winner and new Universal Champion – Daniel Bryan
