#TheWrestlingBrains: Predict #AEW – #AllOut (@callumown98)

Hello it’s me Callum of The Wrestling Brains, and I’m here with my All Out predictions which takes place this Saturday night, inside the Sears Center, the same venue that hosted All In last year. This will be AEW’s last show before their weekly TV starts on October 2nd. The main event matches will see the first ever AEW World Champion crowned as Hangman Page faces Chris Jericho, and Kenny Omega takes on PAC.

For some of my previous predictions posts I’ve done quick picks for the lower card, then a detailed preview for the main matches, and I’ll be sticking with that formula going ahead in this article

Pre Show

Angelico and Jack Evans Vs Private Party: Private Party are being portrayed as the hot young act in AEW, and they have a match against The Young Bucks on the horizon on the 2nd episode of AEW TV, so in my opinion there’s only one winner here, and that’s Private Party. Winners – Private Party

The Buy-In: 21 Woman Casino Battle Royale: The AEW women’s division is lacking somewhat of top-tiered names, personally if I could pick a name out of the hat to win this battle royale and then go onto receive a match for the AEW Women’s Championship at the debut TV show, I’d predict some who we’ve not seen before and to me it has to be Tessa Blanchard.

I have no clue what her Impact Wrestling contract is, but to me, she is one of the biggest names in female wrestling right now, and if AEW wants to make an impact and gain steam Tessa Blanchard winning will be a great choice. Winner – Tessa Blanchard

Main card

Riho Vs Hikaru Shida

I’m pretty shocked that neither of these two have been announced for the Women’s battle royale. It’s pretty difficult to predict who could win this match, when I can’t guess where they’ll go after this match. But I’ll pick Riho, she’s only 22 and I could see AEW possibly pushing her as a up and coming talent. Winner – Riho

Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt Vs SCU

This match is pretty easy for me to predict, I have to go for Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt who I believe all could be the breakout talent on the roster in the next 12 months. Winners – Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt

Darby Allin Vs Jimmy Havoc Vs Joey Janela (Cracker Barrel Clash)

My guess is this match will have a NoDq stipulation, and all 3 wrestlers are well known for their hardcore style, so this could end up being one of the most memorable matches of the night.

Joey Janela is one of my favourites on the roster, his unique look and manic approach to wrestling means every match he’s in makes you feel it could be his last. Darby Allin had a great showing against Cody at Fyter Fest, whereas Havoc hasn’t really found his feet yet in AEW but this will be a massive opportunity to show the world what he can do. Out of the three, I think Darby has the biggest potential, therefore, I believe he’ll win this one. Winner – Darby Allin

Best Friends Vs The Dark Order (Winners receive a bye in the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament)

The Dark Order have received a big push since their debuts at Double Or Nothing in May, and despite some negative fan reactions, they bring something different to AEW.

There need to be heels, and if you use them as the heels of the division, you can then have a babyface team of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defeat them in the Tag Team Championship tournament. As for Best Friends, they’re always going to be a popular win or lose, that’s why I’m going for Dark Order for the victory as it makes more sense for the long-term future of the tag division. Winners – Dark Order

Cody Vs Shawn Spears W/Tully Blanchard

This whole feud began at Fyter Fest when Shawn Spears hit Cody over the head with a steel chair, the chair shot was criticised as it didn’t look safe and did cause some damage to Cody.

In AEW for me at least there need to be clear cut heels and faces, quite obviously in this match Cody is the good guy and Spears the bad guy. Much like the aforementioned Best Friends, Cody is going to be over whatever this result is, and the heels of the division like Shawn Spears need to be protected and built like realistically villains on the show, I have to go with Shawn Spears just for that reason alone. Winner – Shawn Spears

AAA Tag Team Championship: Young Bucks Vs Penta El Zero and Ray Fenix Jr (Ladder Match)

This match will be unbelievable, Bucks and The Lucha Bros are two of the best Tag Teams in the world, and with the AAA Tag Titles being on the line in a Ladder Match adds even more intrigue.

Going forward both Bucks and Lucha Bros will be pushed in the Tag division so whoever loses I can’t see it affecting them to a great extent. My guess is as this is a AAA Tag Title match it’d make more sense for Penta and Fenix to retain the tag belts and continue going to Mexico to defend them. Winners (still champions) – Lucha Bros

Kenny Omega Vs PAC

This was originally supposed to be Omega Vs Moxley and to be honest, I was really looking forward to that match more than anything else on the card.

Personally, I’d also hoped that AEW had kept Omega’s opponent a secret instead of revealing it about 15 minutes after Moxley announcing his injury. PAC will finally be making his long-awaited AEW debut, after having to pull out of Double Or Nothing in May.

This will still be a great match but it easily could’ve been saved for a later date and with more of a storyline to it, but I can understand why it’s been done, fans bought tickets for Omega Vs Moxley, WWE fans would buy the PPV for that match alone, and really AEW is still giving us an ex WWE star Vs one of the biggest none WWE stars in the last few years.

I think Omega winning makes the most logical sense, he is the bigger star in AEW, and he will be one of the main names in the company as they start their weekly show. Winner – Kenny Omega

AEW World Championship: Chris Jericho Vs Hangman Page

This is the toughest match on the whole card to predict, one on hand you have Hangman Page, probably the brightest young talent AEW have on their roster, then on the other, you have one of the greatest of all time, and arguably the biggest name in AEW, in Chris Jericho.

When you think of WCW at the beginning of the Monday Night Wars, the biggest stars were Hall, Savage, Nash and Hogan the wrestlers that had defected from WWF to WCW, in this case, we have Jericho a big name who spent almost 2 decades with WWF/WWE then went to NJPW, which led him to AEW, and for casual fans and primarily WWE fans, they will tune in to see Y2J.

That’s why I think it makes more sense to have Jericho as the first-ever AEW World Champion as it’ll bring more eyes to the product, than it will Hangman Page, especially with the TNT debut just over a month away.

Jericho could even drop the belt within the first few weeks of TV, perhaps even to Hangman, but for the first-ever AEW TV show kicking off with one of the best ever as your champion, in my opinion, is best for business. Winner (First Ever Champion) – Chris Jericho

Will CM Punk appear?

The question that is on a lot of people’s minds does CM Punk appear this Saturday night at All Out?

The answer for me is yes. He will be in Chicago for Starrcast, and if AEW wants to fire the first shot at WWE/NXT, have Punk show up, and there’s only one man that he can interrupt and that’s MJF. MJF doesn’t have a match scheduled for the show yet, which is a bit of a surprise, he’s one of the top heels on the roster, so he should be on the show.

You can have MJF come out with the microphone and say that he’s upset not to have a match, he runs down Chicago and all of the fans, and proclaims that he will become the biggest name in wrestling history. Then CM Punk’s music hits and the crowd erupts, he walks down to the ring, and hits MJF with the GTS, he says absolutely nothing and just walks straight to the back.
