TNA – The continuing confusion in TNA

Welcome all at another confusing week in TNA. Maybe it’s just me but I am constantly bemused by the way the storylines are playing out on the weekly Impact shows.  I mentioned last week the heel turn of MVP and I still struggle to find the reason for it. Yes he just seems to want the Heavyweight Title as this would give him a complete hold over the company – and I am sure title fights would be few and far between

MVP is now starting to build himself a stable in the company now as well. Not much of a shocker when Kenny King joined him in the ring on last Thursdays Impact to destroy EY, but I must say I was confused by the sudden heel turn of Bobby Lashley. Everyone in the arena cheered when he rushed the ring while EY was getting beat down by Kenny and MVP, but no one expected him to spear Eric. Every now and again the company get these little shockers right, but not nearly enough for my liking

MVP

After the awful story that they played out for Dixie Carter, bringing a fresh new face in MVP was exactly what the fans needed to give them a reason to watch, but now they are just playing the same story out just with different people in the main roles. What about Eric Young, is he the right person to be in the forefront of this story line?

As much as I like EY and the way he carries himself in the ring I am just not sure myself if he is the right man right now. Don’t get me wrong though, I was very happy when he won the title and honestly thought he was deserved it, but as for carrying this storyline!

Magnus’s storyline is intriguing me at the moment too. I can’t quite decide if there is a chance of him turning face at the moment or not. I like the way he is playing it out on Impact, and the new guy “Bram” is being shown to have some sort of hold over him. I hope there has been some effort put into the back-story between these two guys as they work well together and it would be a real shame to let Magnus down now after a great title run and consistently good matches weekly.

One thing I have noticed over the last few weeks on Impact is the lack of well-known roster members. It is getting more and more like they just want new talent on the show each week. There should always be room for new talent in my eyes, but not at the cost of known guys. One guy it has been good to see back in the ring over the last two weeks is Kaz. It was a real shame that someone of his talent got squashed by the Menagerie though.

Speaking of the Menagerie I wonder just how far they can take the faction. We are yet to see a couple of them in the ring, although on last week’s Impact with Crazy Steve in a match I am now sure he actually did much in the ring. Rebel has a nice ring entrance but has she got in ring ability? We will just have to wait and see, the same as we will with The Freak. I am convinced that the visibility he has with that mask on is terrible. So do we think he will wrestle with a slightly smaller one? Will he wrestle at all?

Well, there are a few things to think about till the next Impact airs. Maybe some questions will be answered; maybe new storylines will emerge and give me a whole new set of questions I can’t answer. However things play out I look forward to the next Impact and bringing my thoughts to you all.
