#TyboTalks: Five Possible Outcomes from #Day1 (@TheTyboLedson)

Welcome once again to Tybo’s Talks! I am Tybo, and I’m sure by now you know that I am the ‘Five Star General’ of this operation we call SLTD Wrestling.

It’s a brand new year and a brand new WWE PPV, so I’m going to start 2022 strong with getting back to the basics and starting to do some writing. This is the first of a new series ‘Five Possible Outcomes…’ and where better to start than Day 1. Let’s do this…

FIVE: Bobby Lashley Goes Full-Blown Face

Lashley has been teasing a shift from heel to face over the last few weeks on Raw, with him saying he doesn’t’ need MVP, and later putting MVP in an impromptu match against the WWE Champion Big E, only to team with the Champion later than night.

This could all come to a head at Day 1 if Lashley is the one who takes the pin and MVP turns on his associate, with the idea being MVP starts talking down to the All-Mighty and Lashley finally snaps and fights back. We could even see MVP align himself with someone new, or old with the possible return of The Hurt Business as a trio?

FOUR: WWE finally pull the trigger on Liv

It feels like I have been saying this for so long. All the way back to when Liv and Riott were tagging, I have been saying they should be pulling the trigger. It’s fair to say this is the closest Liv has gotten to a legitimate chance at winning the Women’s Championship.

Honestly, if they were going to give her the title, this would be a great time to do it. Becky doesn’t need the title to be the main event player she is, and Liv handing her her first loss in two years would be a great thing to be able to say.

It’s definitely time to start moving away from the Four Horsewomen’s dominance over the woman division and push established stars that just need a small boost to carry the women’s championship.

THREE: McIntyre Squashes Moss and Corbin in Seconds

This whole feud seems like a massive waste of McIntyre’s (and let’s be honest, Corbin’s too) time. He is a two-time WWE Champion, and he moves to Smackdown to not even get on the show (I assume this will be the kick-off)

Drew needs to end this one quick and decisively so he can move back into the main event picture. He has made it clear he wants to face Roman Reigns and he and Brock Lesnar obviously have some unfinished business so him inserting himself into that feud to flesh it out when Lesnar isn’t on a show, wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I wouldn’t be shocked if McIntyre faces both Moss and Corbin back to back.

TWO: Usos Lose… The Beginning of the End

The Usos vs The New Day is always guaranteed to be an absolute banger of a tag team match, and I’m completely confident this one will be the same. It feels like the stakes for this one could be a little higher than just the Usos tag team championships. I have a feeling that when The Usos lose the titles, Reigns’ Universal Championship won’t be far behind.

Personally, I wouldn’t take the tag Titles off The Usos to give them on New Day, I would prefer someone new and different, but who could that be?

Either way, I think there is a huge chance that Uso’s loss creates more cracks begin to show in The Bloodline.

ONE: Heyman ‘Accidentally’ Costs Reigns the Match

It’s clear Paul Heyman will play some part in the Universal Championship Match between Reigns and Lesnar, but what that looks like is anyone’s guess. Heyman getting fired could be a work, Heyman could just come to the ring with Lesnar like the advocate he always was, or it could be something far more intertwined where Heyman is working a triple-cross.

Either way, this match will set up the outline going into Royal Rumble and the eventual Road to Wrestlemania. It’s clear Lesnar is around for at least the next few months, so could he eventually be the one to de-thrown Reigns?

I think Heyman could be the one to keep this rivalry alive after Day 1. Heyman is playing this like he wants to be back in The Bloodline, but he is protecting Reigns from Lesnar. So, what if he tries to help Reigns but ends up costing him the match? Brock Lesnar wins the match via disqualification, Reigns is handed his first loss in over two years and it’s Heyman’s fault. Although Lesnar is the winner of the match, he doesn’t win the Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns is still the Champion, Lesnar has a legitimate reason for a re-match, and both look strong going into Royal Rumble.

Do you agree? Let me know what you think will happen at Day 1 in the comments below or tweet me @TheTyboLedson and ‘Five Possible Outcomes’ with be back for Royal Rumble.
