As much as we all had our favorites in the WWE title tournament we knew who would actually get through to the finals this Sunday. The No 1 guy in the WWE right now is Roman Reigns, since his defeat at Wrestlemania he has done more than anyone to deserve the opportunity to hold the WWE championship. However as much as WWE want Roman to be No 1 the fans want others, namely Dean Ambrose who this Sunday also challenges for the title.
Alberto Del Rio & Kevin Owens are legitimate threats to derailing both Dean & Roman, but Dean and Roman are the one the fans want to see go at it. Dean is the people’s choice, he receives the biggest reaction and he is the one fans would rejoice at if given the opportunity to hold the gold. Everyone seems to think that Roman & Dean will face off in the final and personally I want to see that happen, the two former friends squaring off for the WWE title is dynamite.
Most people are I think envisaging a Roman Reigns win, however I think the majority want Dean Ambrose to leave Survivor Series champion by any means necessary. The possibilities with Dean as world champion are endless, the stories write themselves especially with Roman taking part in the tournament and with Seth eventually returning. Dean is a desperate character, hell-bent on winning the world championship, to Roman however the title is his birth right. Roman will fight forever to be top dog while Dean will make a deal with the devil to be king,
As already mentioned Roman Reigns has been excellent in 2015, every match on Raw, SD and PPV has been of a high quality and he as always emerged victorious in even the most desperate situations. But is Survivor Series the place for Reigns to be crowned champion, is the timing right? Personally I think he does deserve the title but Survivor Series isn’t the place or time, his crowning moment will surely be Wrestlemania 32 where I firmly believe he will defeat heel champion Dean Ambrose.
For that to happen Dean on Sunday night needs to win by any means necessary and be Triple H’s guy, it makes sense form him to turn on his friend and do what’s best for him. I see Survivor Series ending with a 1997 or 1998 like finish with Dean standing over Roman smiling as he lifts the World title above his head with the Authority by his side. Wrestlemania can be shaped depending on the outcome of the WWE title tournament and we could if lucky get to see one of the best feuds and matches if WWE do what’s best for business.
