Hey everyone and welcome to the latest Wrestle Chica! As you may know by now my name is Rach and I am the first lady of SLTD Wrestling! This week, with Night of Champions happening tonight, I thought I would give you my predictions on who I think will be victorious.
Ryback vs Kevin Owens
I was a little shocked when this match was announced as I think Kevin Owens is having a lot of title shots early on in his WWE career. Now don’t get me wrong I think he is great in the ring and I am warming up to his gimmick a lot more these days and have actually missed him being around a little, but I don’t think he deserves another title shot. He has only been on the main roster for only a couple of months and if you look at the likes of Neville, who has been around that little bit longer than Owens, he has not had real title shots (not including his NXT Title match on RAW as he was a former champion and has history with Owens). He was included in the IC ladder match but that’s been it really and for me I feel like he is earning his spot with the main roster and earning those title shots however I feel like Owens is being handed far too many.
Now I know he has been around a long time and has been wrestling before his time with WWE but that shouldn’t give you automatic title shots. I feel like you should still earn them by working your way up. He’s gone from a rivalry with Cena over the United States Championship, to a couple of tag team matches and now he’s fighting for the IC title. It’s very mix mashed for me and for that reason there can only be one winner and that has to be Ryback. I love Ryback as the Intercontinental Champion and think he has deserved to be a champion for a while now. I have always enjoyed watching him in the ring and to be honest with you I think he has worked his ass off to get where he is today in WWE which Owens has not done yet. All that being said I think we are going to have a great match and we are going to see some really impressive stuff as they can both match each other in terms of strength and ability and should really give us a match to get excited about.

The New Day vs The Dudley Boyz
I will admit this first before I go into my thoughts on this match I used to hate The New Day and did not really understand the gimmick and hated the squeaky clean image they were trying to portray, but I have now done a complete 180 turn and LOVE them! What they are doing now is fantastic and I actually look forward to them coming out (mainly to see Big E’s dancing as it is amazing!) as I enjoy seeing what they get up to while they are in the ring.
Now to be honest with you I didn’t mark out like everyone else did when the Dudley Boyz came back only because I wasn’t watching wrestling back then, I never mark out when teams or people from the old days come back however I have been watching a lot of wrestling (thanks to Tybo!) from 2000 so I have seen them put many a people through a table and do love them as a tag team BUT for me even though they have been around for a long time I personally don’t think they deserve to be in this title shot.
At the minute there are a lot of good tag teams in the WWE and it would have been nice to see some of them getting a title shot such as Lucha Dragons or Los Matordores as they always seem to get caught up in just being the extra’s rather than get a one or one (well team on team!) opportunity. This match is definitely not going to disappoint though as we are going to see The New Day causing distractions where ever they can, probably with a “Save a Table” sign and I can guarantee you whoever wins the Dudley Boyz will be putting someone through a table!

Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev
I’ll be honest am getting a little bored of this rivalry and seeing this match, it’s like once Rusev is in a rivalry with someone they don’t have him fight anyone else in PPV’s. Am hoping that the end of this match will see the end of this rivalry but knowing the WWE that is probably not going to happen. I never really got why you would put these two together as to me they are complete opposites and cannot match each other in the ring as they have a different style of what they do and how they go through a match.
That being said the side line antics between Summer Rae and Lana have been really funny and I have to admit really entertaining as you are always second guessing if they will actually do something or not but does that not say something when the action out of the ring is more entertaining than inside it? Adding the little love triangle thing now has pushed this a little too far for my liking as I don’t think it needed to happen.
The fact that we all saw Summer Rae go into Dolph’s room with no indication from him is annoying as well as it just winds me up when you know something is an actual lie but they are still playing to it. Like when someone says they legit won a match when they clearly got help. I’ll be honest am not really looking forward to this match as it is going to be the same match we have seen before and seen a lot before. This time am hoping for this to end with the end of the feud and finally get to see something decent for both of them instead of having it revolve around them wanting to win the affections of a girl.

The Shield (close enough) vs The Wyatt Family
This match to me has got the most buzz about it and rightly so! I’ve heard some rumours on who the mystery member will be but to be honest I really do hope that it’s Kane! I think Kane will be great to come out to support Ambrose and Reigns and I would love nothing more than to see the mask back on and finally see the back of corporate Kane. I think the last time we seen him on air he looked, to me, like he was getting bored of the whole thing himself and I would like to see the demon come back looking out for himself rather than doing the work of the Authority.
The Wyatt family isn’t making sense to me at the minute. Why free your brothers to only bring one back and recruit someone else. I think Bray deserves a lot more than he is getting especially as of lately. He has such a huge following they could really give him a push and have him having some fantastic matches for one of the titles but they just don’t seem to want to do this and keep putting him in these ridiculous rivalries that mean nothing just to fill some time. The newest member is not the best for me. He seems to be getting pushed as another unstoppable force but I don’t really like how they are doing it and if am being honest his finisher really annoys me! All of that being said I do think the Wyatt family are coming out of this the winners just cause I think it’s a little too obvious to have it as Ambrose an Reigns just why the hype they have had with the mystery partner.

Nikki Bella vs Charlotte
Now I want nothing more than Nikki to win this match but I know that is not going to happen. First of all she does not deserve all the hate she is getting as she has been a great champion and for people saying she’s only there cause of Cena need to watch the many documentaries where everyone always says the WWE is successful as it is because every decision goes through one man who has what is best for company always as his priority. Now after saying that I still do think that they are going to have Nikki loose the title only because they are pushing the NXT girls who they too much, they haven’t lost a match since debuting.
It is exactly like they did with Paige but this time because there is a lot of them it is a lot more noticeable and a lot more frustrating. Don’t get me wrong I think Charlotte, Becky and Sasha are fantastic and amazing in the ring and each one of them does deserve to be the Divas Champion but to me it’s a little bit too much too soon. They seem to to be forgetting the divas they already have who are great in the ring (Where’s Nattie? She’s doing house shows but that’s it? Shouldn’t she be part of this revolution?).
Nikki gets a lot of stick for being bad at wrestling (bit like Cena.. Weird that!) when she actually isn’t. She’s worked her ass off and has had some great matches. People always seem to forget that in wrestling two people make a match not one. This match is going to be a good one and I do think we are going to see a lot from both of them especially after Steph’s announcement about the title changing hands even if she is disqualified. To me this is a good thing but this should be because Nikki brings everything and wins. This isn’t going to happen though as Charlotte’s going to win and it will more than likely be a disqualification which will make Nikki’s reign loose any credibility it’s had. I do think though we should have seen a little more one on one and less of the teams before we see one of the NXT girls win title.

Seth Rollins vs Sting
Now this is a match that I am torn about as personally I don’t think Sting should be getting a title shot but I do get why they have done it. First of all the reason why they have done this can only be one thing, at the minute Rollins doesn’t really have rivalries with anyone except Cena for the United States Championship which has left WWE at a bit of loss on what to do for Night of Champions as every title needs to be defended. Sting was the perfect solution for this for WWE as the rivalry doesn’t need to build up from anywhere and can be created just because Sting wanted to which is ideal for situations like this.
However I think this is a lazy way of doing it and they could have built up a rivalry and had Sting just having a match on Sunday rather than a title shot. For me Sting is no Lesnar, when he won the title I was pissed mainly because it was taken off Daniel Bryan so that we could see a fighting champion to then be given to someone who isn’t a fighting champion so for me the same is said for Sting. He is not in the company week in week out so why have your highest title, the one that everyone is fighting to one day be given the opportunity to fight for on someone who may or may not turn up at RAW it just doesn’t make any sense to me.
Seth pulling double duty this night makes me think that someone big is going to happen to him as all eyes will be on him. Saying that I think we are going to see a cash in during Night of Champions as it makes sense to as where does Seth go from here? He hasn’t got any more rivalry’s with people and I can’t see anything in the pipeline for who he could have them with so am thinking he is going to beat Sting but after having two matches and probably taking quite a beating in both of these when else would you have this perfect opportunity to cash in and become the new WWE World Heavy Weight Champion.
This match is going to bring a lot to the table but I can see this being Seth cheating his way to win just like he did at SummerSlam which is the most frustrating thing to me as I want to him legit win a title match and we haven’t had that yet. This should hopefully lead to the set up of Seth vs The Authority though which will be when things really get interesting.

Seth Rollins vs John Cena
As you all know by now I never bet against Cena so my chosen winner for this match will come as no surprise to anyone, HOWEVER going on past events I do 100% think that we are going to see Seth lose the United States Championship as it just doesn’t work with one person holding two titles. First of all since Seth has won this we haven’t had an open challenge for it, we haven’t seen someone coming out with the belt and holding it high to show they are proud to be the holder of it, it barely gets shown on TV anymore as it is always around Rollins waist and it’s only ever spoken about when he wants to gloat about holding them both.
Even the build up to Night of Champions has not been existent to me for the United States Championship, we seen a little of this on this week’s RAW with the tag team match but I just don’t feel as excited for this match as I do about others. Look at when the Ultimate Warrior held both the Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Championship and was told that he had to give one up. I think we are going to see the same here only with Seth losing it to Cena not giving it up.
Cena has done a lot for that title and it’s kind of sad to see it now just be second best. We seen a lot of people really interested, myself one of them, in what was going to happen next with it and who was going to answer the open challenge to now just go to nothing is a bit disappointing. Getting to see the likes of Sami Zayn, Zack Ryder and even Cesaro getting given the chance to be able to compete for a title was great to see and really did get people involved and interested in this title. Am really hoping that at Night of Champions the title goes back to John Cena and we get to see the open challenge again and have the opportunity to let people showcase what they have got when they wouldn’t normally be given that chance.
