WWE Roadblock is a three-hour airing that appears tonight; Saturday March 12th and exclusively on the WWE Network. Ironically, for five matches, the statement has been made that it will be for three hours. For five matches; how long will these matches be? Will it be sandwiched in between filler; and will there be a kick-off match?
Dean Ambrose-Triple H: A No-Contest. The main event with the rumored return of Roman Reigns will pit Dean Ambrose versus Triple H; and for the title. We will have a draw or a no-contest thanks to some sort of chicanery in the match, and prompting Reigns to interfere first; and do the whole help my buddy and then celebrate thing. Ironically enough, it would behoove WWE and Creative to have Brock Lesnar interfere in the finish; and lay out everybody. It would give more of an impression, a stronger impression that despite the Wyatt interruption; Brock still wants his belt back and is a major player, and a killer. Triple H could try and get away until a Lesnar stare down suggests otherwise; and then, we have other run-in’s after. A no contest means Dean or Triple H do not truly lose, nor lose credibility leading up to Wrestlemania. And a Lesnar segue also means the company will also give more meat and sizzle to the Brock-Dean program for Mania as well.
Then, another way is to have a schmozz after many false finishes; and everybody is laid out. Then, just about to go to dead air; we have a blackout and when lights come up- we see fireflies and Bray Wyatt in the ring; dead center and holding aloft the WWE championship. He would stand over both Triple H and Dean; perhaps after a Sister Abigail to both. Reigns would already be attacked by the Wyatt Family- namely Rowan. Harper and Stowman would also double team and attack Lesnar; after Lesnar cleaned house and stood tall after F-5’ing everyone.
Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt will have some sort of short interference; but isn’t enough to stop the match, or Lesnar. Lesnar looking strong and a monster, will fend off two of the Wyatt’s. Bray will cleanly be defeated. But according to what’s proposed for a main event ending, Bray would look strong again later and in a different scenario (to build him up again a bit) and give him a credible look as a possible, future champion. So Brock easily defeats Bray in a strong style match, but goes a little bit longer than the Lesnar-Show squash from MSG.
WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day will regain their tag titles tonight versus Barrett & Sheamus. It’s the entertaining but still heelish-like team of the New Day versus another heel team and in which are clearly more defined as a heel. The League of Nations will have a stand-down (Rusev and Del Rio) but will be outside the ring and scouting. However, the Uso’s and Dudley’s will lay claim and give a DQ to this bout. This means we may see a triple threat or TLC tag team bout at Mania. If this scenario does evolve, it will pit the New Day as champs going in versus the Dudley’s and Uso’s at Mania.
NXT Tag Team Titles: The Arrival, Dawson and Dash will lose their titles in the match of the night versus Big Cass and Enzo Amore. This match will be the opening bout on the card, and the one that is the high-spots match which gets everybody popping. However, at the end of the bout; both teams will have the mutual respect handshake- and then the American Elite will stare-down and lay their claim to the new NXT champions. Doing so also sets the program for the future. Blake and Murphy as a surprise will try and steal the moment; and it will evolve to a future eight-man tag team bout on the NXT episodes on Wednesday night. This proposed eight man tag would be Blake and Murphy teaming with Arrival versus the possibly uneasy opponents; “but enemy of my enemy equals friendship” tandem of American Elite paired with Enzo/Cass.
Divas action will feature Charlotte versus Natalya in a non-title match. Intriguingly, it would be nice to create the impression and suspicion of doubt; to have Nat go over on Charlotte. It would also bring out interference or a ploy (mind games, distraction) to Charlotte. The scenario would play out to elevate Natalya and create another contender to fend for. Also, this interference and ploy would also bring out Sasha and Becky out. This match could end with a clean roll up pin; or evolve into a 6- woman tag; as the Team BAD would be the counter-interference and help Charlotte.
There’s also a Y2J Highlight Reel which will feature a heel like promo and Jericho gloating and grandstanding. This will lead to a physical fisticuffs segment with Styles. Styles will come out and initially chase off Jericho. Then Jericho comes back to get his second comeuppance on AJ; and then security comes in and does the separation-break up thing.
