#WWMD – Who should repesent New Day at #MitB (@maruwe22)

Hello and welcome to WWMD, where we look at the three members of The New Day (TND from here on in!) who could be Mr Money in the Bank soon. We’ll look at why they should win it and what they could do with the push moving on. So without further ado, lets get going!

Xavier Woods

For me, Xavier is the ultimate third choice for being in the match. As part of TND, he has a solid posistion as a manager and a tag partner. As a singles wrestler though, he stands out as a weaklink. When we think about other members of TND, they have a host of strong points. However, Xavier just doesn’t have them. If he were in the match, all I would see him doing is being used for finishing moves / high spots. There is no logic for him to be in it and I would never see him winning it.

Kofi Kingston

Kofi is always gold in Ladder matches. Regardless of the Ladder Match he has been in, he’s always made the memorable. He is atheltic, can move around, can jump and swing. For this alone I’d love to see him in the match. You can also see him as a singles wrestler, as well as part of TND. He can work the mic and has really helped out TND get to where it is today. During the match we would see a lot of high flying action from him and he could be a future WWE Champion. However, at the moment I’d keep him in TND as a tag teamer, because now we look at my pick for who should represent TND.

Big E

Big E is, for me, the logical choice for representing TND. Granted, on the main roster he hasn’t been booked well at times, but he has found himself as part of TND. On his day, Big E can be a tremendous wrestler. Check out his matches from NXT vs Seth Rollins and his 5 count victories to see how he can be dominant, if booked properly. “Big Men” are often seen as go to guys to hold a title to make it seem legit, and Big E can do this. However, the one in chink in his armour is that I don’t ever see him as a beliveable heel. For me, a champion needs to be able to be master of all trades. If Big E is going to get a push, then putting him in MitB will be a good start, but I don’t see him winning it.

Closing thoughts

We only know one fact. One member of The New Day is heading to the Money in the Bank match. At the moment though, we don’t know which one. However, whichever one is put in the match, I don’t see any of them winning the match. Whoever gets the nod though, expect a good performance from them. Who knows, it could lead to the end of The New Day?
