Hello and welcome to the Wrestling Brain’s Hell In A Cell review article, much like my predictions article, I’ll go into depth of every match on the card (including the pre – show) and then I’ll talk about what I hold out for for Survivor Series. Before I start, I hope you all enjoyed the PPV, I know I did, so I hope you enjoy this article as well.
Cesaro, Neville and Dolph Ziggler vs King Barrett, Rusev and Sheamus
So the pre – show match was exciting, as I’d hoped, the heels worked on Dolph and Neville, for the majority of the match, until Cesaro got the hot tag and after Ziggler hit a super kick onto King Barrett and Cesaro hit a giant swing, Neville finished the match for the faces with a Red Arrow
Winners: Neville, Cesaro and Ziggler
John Cena vs ?
The main show kicked off with the match that I was looking forward to the most, the John Cena US Open Challenge, all day names like Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, Tyler Breeze and Finn Bálor were all rumoured to be Cena’s opponent, however when The Real Americans music hit, I thought Jack Swagger, no it was in fact Zeb Coulter introducing Cena’s opponent and the man that would take the title away from John Cena and that man was Alberto Del Rio, Zeb Coulter kept to his word as Del Rio hit a backstabber followed up by a super kick for the victory.

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt
In our first Hell In A Cell match of the evening, which I believe was the match of the evening, as the eater of worlds took on Roman Reigns, in what was a brutal match, overall three tables were broken, and plenty of Kendo Sticks were used. Some really cool spots here especially Reigns spearing Wyatt off the ring apron straight threw a table. The second time Reigns hit the spear was for the victory.

The Dudley Boyz vs The New Day
The New Day started with an in ring promo, dedicating the match to Xavier Woods, who was attacked and put through a table by The Dudley’s last week on Raw, once the match got started it felt that something was missing and that something was Xavier Woods, his presence outside the ring was missed, whether it be him playing the trombone or him shouting at his team mates , I was disappointed that Xavier wasn’t there. However The New Day through Eddie Guerreroesque tactics picked up a surprise victory.

Charlotte vs Nikki Bella
Full credit to Nikki Bella, her in ring work has improved in the last two years, and last night despite all being in vain, I think that was her best match ever, Nikki played the heel role to perfection by targeting Charlotte’s back, which would of affected Charlotte locking in the figure 8, however the champ prevailed in a strong showing.

Seth Rollins vs Demon Kane
Corporate Kane is no more as Seth Rollins successful defended his title and his WWE World title reign continues and also the list of great wrestlers he has defended continues, it wasn’t a brilliant match, and it involved many sloppy moments, including Seth Rollins powerbombing Kane through the announcers table, but the table didn’t break, so it probably did more damage to Kane than it should of. However Seth won with a rather sloppy Pedigree.

Ryback vs Kevin Owens
I’ll be honest I didn’t watch this match, all I know what happened was Owens reversed a Shell Shock, then hit a super kick and followed it up with a Pop Up Powerbomb

Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker
In our final match of the evening and what is presumed to be their final match against each other ever, Brock Lesnar squared off with The Undertaker in what really was a Hell In A Cell match, that reminded me of a match that would happen in the Attitude Era than the current Reality Era, from the start there was blood and inside cage of the cell was getting a fair test, the first few minutes was very similar to a fight in the Octagon, after the first few minutes both men were covered in blood, a massive steel chair shot to Undertaker’s jaw along with the blood is likely to earn fines for both competitors.
Brock took the Deadman to Suplex Ciity, by hitting three consecutive Suplexs followed up by two F5’s by The Undertaker kicked out, then the old gunslinger made a comeback as he locked in a Hell’s Gate, but Brock hit some brutal rights and after Lesnar tore of the ring canvas in the centre of the ring, it looked as though The Phenom was going back to Death Valley with a loss, however Taker had one final comeback in him as he hit a Chokeslam onto whatever it is underneath the canvas, but Brock kicked out and the the Beast kicked out of a Tombstone.
In a role reversal of their encounter at Summerslam Brock hit a vicious low blow onto The Undertaker and followed up with an F5 for the 1,2,3. Following the match Brock left the ring to allow Undertaker receive a warm reception from the crowd and the announce team, and as he did his signature pose, the lights flickered and Bray Wyatt’s face appeared as he and his men walked down to the ring and surrounded the Undertaker and beat The Phenom down and carried him to the back.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Wow what a great PPV, with many good spots and many surprises including the Del Rio return and The Wyatt’s assaulting The Undertaker to close the show on a cliff-hanger. So Survivor Series will be celebrating 25 years of The Phenom and by the way the PPV concluded it seems that The Undertaker will be competing but who against, presumably against The Wyatt’s in some form of tag team match.
