Hello The Brain here, I’m pulling off a Seth “freaking” Rollins by doing double duty this weekend by writing my usual Monday article and I’ve also decided to write a prediction article which will be very similar to my NXT Brooklyn article. So let’s get started. (Not including pre – show)
Intercontinental Championship match – Ryback vs Kevin Owens
The Big Guy vs Fight Owens Fight, one part of me wants Ryback to win because I don’t like Ryback and therefore don’t like the IC belt, however I feel it’s time for Ryback to drop the title despite only defending twice. So despite in my SLTD Wrestling prediction league I went with Ryback, I want Owens to win as he needs the title more than Ryback.
Divas Title – Charlotte vs Nikki Bella
To me it was obvious that after the screwy finish we saw on Raw on Monday Charlotte would get her revenge at Night Of Champions, here’s why; Unfortunately AJ Lee retired back in April she was the longest reigning Divas Champion, but Nikki Bella kept on defending her title and then this Monday on Raw, even though we all thought that Charlotte had won the title and Nikki and AJ would be tied, Stephanie overruled the decision due to twin magic. It was obvious that WWE wanted a current diva to overtake AJ Lee’s record, and because Nikki is the “Total Diva” it was always going to be her. But now the record is broke so what’s the point of Nikki being the champion, therefore Charlotte wins. However if I were a betting man I would say Paige turns heel and costs Charlotte the title.
Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev
The sooner this feud ends the better in my opinion, therefore I hope Rusev wins thanks to help from Lana, I can’t say much more on this match and this feud as I’m fed up with it.
Tag Titles Match – The New Day vs The Dudley Boyz
As awesome it is to see The Dudley’s back, I want The New Day to win and why shouldn’t they when they have been the best tag team since Kidd got injured. I can also see The Dudley’s winning the titles in a Tables match at TLC in December.
United States Title Match – Seth Rollins vs John Cena
Both Rollins matches are difficult to call, I can’t see Rollins leaving with both titles around his waist, but I can see Rollins leaving with no titles (more on that later). I want both men to win for different reasons, John Cena because I want to see the US challenge to return, however I want Rollins to retain because it’s Seth “freaking” Rollins. However my prediction is John Cena wins.
The Shield vs The Wyatt Family
To me this is the most intriguing match on the card and that is mainly because of the mystery partner storyline. It could be the unpopular choice but the logical choice of Erick Rowan or the more popular choice of The Rock or Daniel Bryan, however I’m going to go with… Samoa Joe, here’s why; They have been building up this feud on family and yes even though The Rock is family, why would The Rock return to a B star PPV, WWE can build up Joe’s heritage and link it with Reigns heritage.
WWE World Heavyweight Title Match – Seth Rollins vs Sting
I’m torn for who I want to win, whether it’s for a man who has revolutionized wrestling for 4 decades or a man who is not arguably the future of WWE, he is the future of the WWE. Night Of Champions is the biggest night of Seth Rollins career so far, he is facing not just one but two guaranteed Hall Of Famers. He won’t lose his title to Sting, but will he lose it to Sheamus? Let’s face it this storyline with Rollins wrestling twice it was highly likely that Sheamus was going to cash in, however, It will be unsuccessful as Rollins face turn will be cemented as he knocks off Sheamus as well.
