#SLTDPredicts: Elimination Chamber (‘callumowen98 | @MikeJC821) #WWEChamber

Hello and welcome to Team SLTD’s Elimination Chamber predictions, today we have The Wrestling Brain and Mouthing Off With Mike JC giving their picks ahead of Saturday’s PPV from Saudi Arabia. Our opening bout is the falls count anywhere match between Drew McIntyre and Madcap Moss.

Drew McIntyre vs Madcap Moss
Falls Count Anywhere

TWB: When Drew returned at the Royal Rumble, I was quite excited, the initial reports following his injury were that he could miss Mania so the fact he was back far sooner than we thought was a massive plus, however, him continuing the feud with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss was a bit of a letdown.

The assumption is that at Wrestlemania we’ll be getting Corbin vs Drew, so if that’s the case I think McIntyre should win, but as seen at the Rumble anything is possible and the fact that Moss eliminated AJ, so I can’t rule anything out, but I’m being optimistic and saying Drew wins. Winner – Drew McIntyre

MO: This isn’t gonna be positive at all so be prepared.  A couple of things, first thing, why the hell is this the match after I’ve already seen this match (which Drew won by the way) so this match is pointless.  The second thing, and the most important one, if they are doing this rematch as a Falls Count Anywhere because they are going to waste Drew McIntyre’s WrestleMania on a singles match with Corbin, that is one of the most egregious things you can do to a top star like Drew.

Literally, everyone else is getting these big matches at Mania and Drew is getting a match that is a Smackdown match at best especially when not a single person wants to see Corbin on Mania at all.  In the same realm as last Mania where Bayley was wasted for a very shitty spot with the Bellas, that’s how I see a Corbin versus McIntyre match at Mania, one hundred percent unforgivable.  Drew is going to win this match very easily and I really hope I’m wrong about him possibly facing Corbin at Mania. Winner: Drew McIntyre

Rey Mysterio vs The Miz

TWB: So I correctly predicted that this match would be happening a few weeks ago, and it’s an odd one, as whilst Rey and Miz are two of the more established stars on the roster, I can’t really picture what there Mania plans are unless it’s Rey vs Dom, there’s nothing jumping out me.

This all makes the result of the match tougher to predict, but Miz is someone who seems like he can take losses regularly and seem to bounce back also because it’s taking place in Saudi, a win for a face is more likely. I’m taking Rey. Winner – Rey Mysterio

MO: I don’t know why this match is happening.  I don’t know why I should care about this match at all.  This match was thrown together just because of a Miz TV segment that didn’t need to happen.  This match is not a pay-per-view match.  This is a match I’ve seen on Raw before, this is a match that I’m talking about for way too long, I’m picking Mysterio because I’m tired of him losing all the time for no reason and I never want to see The Miz win anything. Winner: Rey Mysterio

Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (C) vs The Viking Raiders

TWB: So considering we are only a few weeks away from Wrestlemania it makes zero sense to have The Usos lose their titles before the biggest show of the year when they’re part of the biggest faction of the company.

This is the easiest match on the card to predict, The Usos win, then at Mania, we get New Day vs Usos. Winners (Still Smackdown Tag Team Champions): The Usos

MO: There are very few things WWE is really good at, one of those things is not making a match feel special.  They did that again with this feud by instead of building to the title match and not having these two teams face at all until the title match they had numerous singles matches and The Viking Raiders mostly lost, making it not special to see them get a title shot because nobody wants to see losers get title shots.

To be fair another thing WWE is really good at is making us not care about certain people because before earning this title opportunity did you care about The Viking Raiders at all?  Probably not, I think I really like this false positivity angle I took in explaining this because there’s really no denying what WWE is really, really good at.

There’s no way The Usos are losing here, but does it really matter because another thing WWE is really good at is not creating credible challengers for any of their champions.  See I just named three things WWE is really good at. Winner: The Usos

Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville

TWB: It’s pretty cool to think that at this Saudi show we have three women’s matches, where there are in total 12 competitors! A few years ago when these shows began the idea of women being able to appear let alone actually wrestle was unheard of, now don’t get me wrong I’m still sceptical about these shows taking place, but I do see it as a small victory.

As for this match between Rousey and Naomi going up against Flair and Deville, I think Ronda and Naomi winning makes the most sense, have Sonya I tap out to the armbar after Charlotte has abandoned her partner. Winners: Ronda Rousey and Naomi

MO: Another very unnecessary match, Sonya and Naomi have been feuding for 7 months, seemingly for no reason.  Sonya just doesn’t like her, and that’s it.  Naomi has already beat her and eliminated her in the rumble, there’s no reason for the feud to continue.

Ronda, coming back after being gone for two years, just decided she wanted a singles match with Charlotte after winning the rumble when nobody else wanted that match.  So this match is literally to further the feuds of both and we don’t need it at all.  Ronda and Naomi are winning, Ronda will submit Sonya and Charlotte will be mad about it and say that Ronda didn’t beat her and she won’t do it at Mania either, I hate all of this. Winner: Ronda Rousey & Naomi

Raw Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Lita

TWB: Selfishly I’d have preferred this one taking place at Mania, now obviously it would’ve meant that someone like Bianca or Rhea may miss out on a Mania match against Lynch but on paper Becky vs Lita feels like it could’ve taken place on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’.

However, I’m still very much looking forward to seeing what we get between the two this Saturday, as it really feels like a clash of generations match which is something we rarely see out of the Women’s division.

Becky will win this match, heading into Mania she will be in one of the marquee matches, against whoever wins the Chamber Match. Winner (Still Raw Women’s Champion): Becky Lynch

MO: So I actually like the angle they went with this match.  Despite certain things, why would Lita just get a title shot after losing the rumble, and not wrestling in like 5 years?  What makes her think she deserves a title shot?

Regardless of the usual WWE stupidity, the story itself is cool because Becky is basically facing her hero and her hero wants to take the most important thing she has as a wrestler, her championship and now Becky has to put down her hero.  With that said, Lita doesn’t stand a chance of winning at all.  I hope Lita is able to put on a good match with Becky after not working a singles match in over 5 years, I hope this match is halfway decent to good and I hope that I can enjoy it and never see Lita take a spot from a full-timer ever again after it. Winner: Becky Lynch

Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (C) vs Goldberg

TWB: I’m going to keep this short and sweet, Reigns should ‘Goldberg’ Goldberg, hit one spear, 1,2,3, Reigns wins. Winner (Still Universal Champion): Roman Reigns

MO: I will never ever accept that Goldberg just continues to get title shots just because “he’s Goldberg and that’s what he does”  that’s not a valid excuse when he’s never around, he’s never had a good match in his life, he injures people a lot, and absolutely doesn’t care about the business at all.  This is another example of WWE letting their laziness to build true stars who work hard every single night get in the way of building a credible match card.

I don’t care where this show is taking place, I will never ever accept part-timers getting title shots, especially part-timers who are POS’ towards the business as a whole.  Goldberg needs to go away forever, I don’t care about “Spear versus Spear” I don’t care that we were supposed to get this match at WrestleMania 36, I don’t care that Roman is okay with this because he’s a company guy.

This is a waste of time, a waste of a spot on the card and waste to be talking about it this long, Goldberg sucks, and Roman better retain, and if he doesn’t then WWE really just doesn’t care about fans at all, like that was even in question before. Winner: Roman Reigns

Women’s Elimination Chamber Match
The Winner Faces Raw Women’s Champion At WrestleMania
Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Doudrop vs. Liv Morgan vs. Alexa Bliss

TWB: I think there’s only one person who can feasibly win the Women’s Chamber Match and that’s Bianca Belair, and I believe she should do it from it the No1 spot.

We haven’t had that definitive Becky vs Bianca rematch as of yet and it taking place at Mania makes the most sense, and at that PPV is where you have Belair get her revenge and win back the Raw Women’s Championship. Winner: Bianca Belair

MO: Not a single one of these people had real momentum when this match was announced.  They didn’t do qualifying matches, why?  Because there weren’t enough people on the roster to do so.

Before recently Bianca was the only person with any real momentum going into this match.  Rhea has been moving up in the rankings with her performance in recent matches.  Everyone else in this match has done nothing to deserve to be here.  Nikki has been losing or getting 50/50ed, Doudrop just lost a title match but just gets another shot at a shot because.  Liv Morgan lost three title matches and hasn’t gained any momentum since, and Alexa hasn’t had a match since September so she just gets a shot at a shot for no reason at all.

With that said there are only two possible winners here, Bianca or Rhea, if it’s Bianca she gets her shot at Redemption against that god awful booking decision to have her lose the belt the way she did to Becky, if it’s Rhea she gets back to the top of the division and goes into a possible match with Becky that she deserves and we also haven’t seen a billion times.

I’d accept either but I think Bianca is winning, I hate it took this long to get here since Becky took the belt from Bianca in August and it’s almost freaking March, and Bianca has just been spinning her wheels since losing the belt.  Hopefully, she doesn’t get treated as bad after winning the belt back down the line. Winner: Bianca Belair

Elimination Chamber Match
WWE Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles vs. Riddle vs. Austin Theory vs. Seth Rollins

TWB: I’m very excited for this one, six great competitors who will no doubt put on an unbelievable main event. I’m going to do what I did for the Royal Rumble and rank competitors from least likeliest to who I’m picking to win.

Austin Theory: Sorry Austin, there can only be one Austin in a marquee match at Wrestlemania and it’s not going to be you. All joking aside I’ve enjoyed Theory’s run so far on the main roster, it’s felt like he’s been positioned as a credible upper mid-carder and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get him vs Priest at Wrestlemania for the US Title.

AJ Styles: Now I would love AJ to win on Saturday night, but because of the other competitors involved I just don’t see it happening, however, I do think he will still have a marquee match at Wrestlemania against Edge.

Riddle: One of the biggest rumours last month was that Riddle was set to win the Royal Rumble, as intriguing as it would’ve been, it would’ve meant Randy probably would’ve won the title here inside the chamber and to be honest I’m not sure whether an Orton vs Riddle match needs a championship on the line, as my assumption is that will be the route where we’re heading for Wrestlemania. So really we don’t need a Riddle win here to get to that conclusion.

Bobby Lashley: I’m not sure whether going into back to back Wrestlemania’s as WWE Champion will happen for Bobby Lashley, don’t get me wrong if it does then I’ll be happy but the issues I have are that he really doesn’t have anyone he could face, and even if he loses on Saturday he’s in exactly the same situation there’s no-one he can face. So unfortunately I think Lashley will have a short reign this time as champion.

Brock Lesnar: I hope we don’t get Brock as champion but I can see it happening, the talk is that Heyman and Brock think the Wrestlemania main event should be champion vs champion between Lesnar and Reigns, and I think it’s a possibility, the image of Roman holding up both belts to close night two is one I can certainly picture, and for that to happen it would mean Brock would have to walk out of Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion, but I hope I’m wrong because we don’t need it, as what’s the point of Raw if there’s no World Title on the show up until Mania. But in my head, I’m saying Brock wins.

Seth Rollins: However in my heart, I’m saying it’ll be The Messiah, The Visionary Seth “Freakin” Rollins who walks out of Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion, I believe that out of everyone Seth holding the title at Mania makes the most sense, he will have the best in-ring match out of the other possible contenders and let’s just say his Wrestlemania opponent will be nothing short of dashing. Winner (New WWE Champion): Seth “Freakin” Rollins

MO: So imagine this, Big E defends the title against five men and gets pinned by Brock Lesnar for some reason doesn’t get a rematch.  Then Bobby Lashley earns a title shot and wins the belt thanks to Roman Reigns, then Brock wins the rumble and picks Roman of course right, so with that said what would be the logical thing, giving Big E a title shot, right?  Sure you would think that, but guess what Big E is doing, back in a tag team on the other show like nothing happened and Brock Lesnar is challenging for this title when he already has a match lined up at Mania for the other belt.

All of that happened and you didn’t have to imagine it.  That’s how bad WWE’s booking is currently that Big E finally got to the top of the mountain and just got put to the side like a tool that got used in the grand scheme of the SEVENTH meeting between Brock and Roman and third at Mania in 6 freaking years.  Not a single person asked for this or needed it.  Nobody else in this match matters and that’s an issue.  Why did Big E need to lose his belt to get here?  Why does Brock need to be in this match at all?  Why did they tease title for title between Brock and Roman at all when there’s a whole roster of wasted talent that they could have just freaking built up as credible challengers?

Maybe if they cared about the roster of people that actually work here every week instead of just focusing on Brock.  Maybe we should stop using people like Big E at the expense of people we don’t care about.  I get I haven’t talked about the match really because it just doesn’t matter, Brock is gonna win, and I hope, truly hope I’m wrong because the title for title at Mania between Roman and Brock is the best way to prove how much the rest of your roster just doesn’t matter. Winner: Brock Lesnar
