Once again Team SLTD have gotten together to give our thoughts on who we think will come out victorious at Money in the Bank and win the contract. Will it be Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Lana, Namoi, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon, Natalya or Alexa Bliss?

A tough one to call initially but when you break down the participants, the picture becomes clearer. Both Bliss & Charlotte have just come off respectable championship reigns, Natalya & Naomi are filling the ‘good hand’ established stars spots in the match and Lana is in the match. For some reason. And it won’t be to throwback to the Carmella situation from last year. Which leaves us with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, two stalwarts of the Women’s Revolution and former champions in their own right. Banks last held the championship in August while Lynch hasn’t seen gold since her reign as the inaugural Smackdown Women’s Champion came to an end in December 2016. For that reason, Becky Lynch is my pick as it’ll be just what she needs to build herself back up in the Women’s Division and actually appear as a threat to Asuka & Charlotte somewhere down the line.

If you want me to be perfectly honest, I’m actually not that bothered about this match. I’m looking forward to a possible Eclipse or Frog Splash from the top of the ladder, and a couple of other crazy spots, but on paper, this match doesn’t look that intriguing to me.
Who would I like to win? Ember Moon. She deserves it a LOT and is one of the most talented women on the roster. Who do I think will win? Alexa Bliss. And to be honest, I’m not going to complain at that at all. I’m a huge fan of Alexa Bliss and her work, but having just held the belt for a long time, do we want to see it again? Whereas Ember Moon is a fresh face in the championship picture

This is a match am really looking forward to as after last years one they now have the opportunity to have someone win clean and without a man interfering as let’s all be honest that story was just ridiculous! The women in this match are all fantastic and should be able to pull off some fantastic moves and great spots however I am a little shocked that Lana is in it. I love Lana and I would love it if she won (especially if Rusev won too!) but I don’t think she has had enough matches to be in this type of match with what she will have to pull off. Thinking realistically though as I can’t see Lana winning no matter how much I would love it for the winner will be someone from RAW and my money is going to be Ember Moon! She is an amazing wrestler and will definitely be pulling off some of the moves of the night and these type of matches should always go to someone who wouldn’t normally get an opportunity and Moon being so new on the roster she will be the ideal person!

Let’s just hope in this year an actual woman grabs the briefcase, I’m sure it will be. Again, this match is filled with eight of the best that the WWE women’s division has to offer. My winner for this one is Ember Moon. I’m a big fan of hers and feel like she deserves the briefcase.

There can only be one winner for the Women’s Money in the bank match and her name is Becky Lynch. Becky is, in my opinion, the best and most underutilized women’s wrestler in WWE, she has floundered for the most part of 2017 and 2018 and she desperately needs the briefcase to reinstall herself in the title picture. Becky is my favourite female superstar in the whole of WWE, and I always predict her in any big matches, so hopefully, she won’t let me down. Come on Becky!

Bliss needs to win the briefcase. After the WrestleMania match with Jax, she’s got a little lost in the women’s division. Not that she is a poor wrestler, but once again WWE booking has become questionable as of late. A briefcase holder should normally be a heel, and Bliss fits that role really well. There is nothing quite like a cocky heel cash in after a champion has had a long match. I really, really, really want Lynch to win, but I don’t see that happening. What I do see happening is her going for the briefcase and then being pulled off it by the eventual winner. I don’t see as many big spots, compared to the men’s match. However, it should be better, and cleaner than last year.

As I have said that the men’s case will be on Smackdown, I just it only makes sense that the women’s will be on Raw. That being said I can still see Charlotte winning because it’s Charlotte.
Honestly, anyone could walk out with the win I think Becky Lynch deserves it, same with Sasha Banks. I would love Alexa Bliss to win purely because I think the Raw Women’s Championship has lost its way with Nia Jax as the champ.
But let’s just say it, as long as James Ellsworth doesn’t get the case again it will be a massive upgrade from last years match.
