#TheWrestlingBrain’s: #SurvivorSeries Predictions (@callumowen98 | @xterblack)

Hello it’s us The Wrestling Brains, and we’re here with our Survivor Series predictions. Tonight inside the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, Raw, Smackdown and NXT fight for “Brand Supremacy”.

They compete against each other in a men’s and women’s elimination matches, and clashes between the Tag Champions, Women’s Champions and the ‘work-horse’ titles in a series of triple threat matches consisting all the champions on their respective brands.

Also on the card we have a NXT Championship match, a Universal Championship match as The Fiend Bray Wyatt faces Daniel Bryan, and Brock Lesnar defends the WWE Title against Rey Mysterio.

Both @xterblack and @callumowen98 are here to predict the eight matches advertised on the card (as of Thursday) much like previous predictions article we have split the card in the half. Lets get started.

@callumowen Predicts:
Viking Raiders (Raw) Vs Undisputed Era (NXT) Vs New Day (Smackdown)

This tag team match, will be good, all three teams are at the top of their game, on Raw we’ve got Erik and Ivar who are undefeated since making their Raw debuts, and are getting over with the fans. New Day will be represented by Kofi Kingston and Big E, who recently picked up the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.

Kyle O’Reily and Bobby Fish, are in my opinion the best tag team in the world, they have been honing their craft for years whether it be in NXT or in ROH and NJPW as ReDragon, O’Reilly is one of my favorite wrestlers to watch, his facial expressions are incredible and his and Fish’s tag team work is exceptional.

I expect NXT to win at least one match against Raw and Smackdown, but I think Raw and the Viking Raiders will pick up the victory here, they need to remain undefeated before (I would assume) feuding with Authors Of Pain. Winners – Viking Raiders

@xterblack Predicts:
AJ Styles (Raw) Vs. Roderick Strong (NXT) Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Smackdown)

Each brands respective secondary title holder will square off in a bout that is possibly my most anticipated of the night. AJ has been had his presence felt on Raw and NXT, Roddy has been EVERYWHERE with his fellow Undisputed running mates and, while he may have been quiet, Shinsuke is not one to lay down and that supremacy pass him by.

I first thought/instinct was a Styles win but looking at how I think the rest of the night will pan out, I think NXT need an early and, pun very much intended, Strong victory. Winner – Roderick Strong

Women’s Elimination Match

@callumowen98 Predicts:
Women’s Elimination Match – Team Raw (Charlotte (C), Kabuki Warriors, Natalya, Sarah Logan Vs Team Smackdown (Sasha Banks (C), Nikki Cross, Carmella, Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans) Vs Team NXT (TBC)

This match will be a really intriguing one, as it should go at least 30 minutes, as it’ll give each women time to shine, but I could see it only going 15-20 minutes which means there’ll be quick eliminations.

Currently as of writing (Tuesday evening) NXT have not announced anyone in either their men’s or women’s elimination matches, and personally I hope they don’t reveal their cards until the night of PPV, and it can feel like Triple H changes his plans based on previous results in the night.

As this is a predictions article let’s guess who the five female wrestlers for team NXT will be, so I think we’ll see Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox, Mia Yim, Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae. This is a pure babyface team so in reality they should all be able to work together and co-exist, therefore NXT win this one. Winners – Team NXT

@xterblack Predicts:
Shayna Baszler (NXT) Vs. Becky Lynch (Raw) Vs. Bayley (Smackdown)

Similar to the men’s secondary title match, the female champions of each brand (especially Baszler) have let bold actions do the talking in the run up to Survivor Series.

I feel this one is a much easier guess than the male counterpart as I can clearly see Bayley capitalizing on Baszler & Lynch getting caught up in their distaste for each other that the former hugger is, as current storylines reflect, being overlooked despite her new attitude. Bayley takes this one. Winner – Bayley

@callumowen98 Predicts:
Adam Cole Vs Damian Priest – NXT Championship Match

As I’ve guessed in the Takeover WarGames predictions, I’m expecting Damian Priest to beat Killian Dain and Pete Dunne in the triple threat match, and go to Survivor Series to challenge Adam Cole.

This match will feel fresh and different, and will be exciting. Priest is one of my favorite up and coming talents on the NXT brand, he’s had great showings against Dunne in the past few weeks. Cole will be pushed to limit, but find a way to win. Winner (still champion) – Adam Cole

@xterblack Predicts:
‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt Vs. Daniel Bryan – Universal Championship

Does this one even need dissecting? Nothing against Daniel Bryan at all but we’re still only living in The Fiend’s world and trying to figure it out. There’s no way the title switches hands here. No way at all. Winner (still champion) – ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt

@callumowen98 Predicts:
Brock Lesnar Vs Rey Mysterio – WWE Heavyweight Championship (No Holds Barred)

I cannot wait for this match, this will steal the show. Witnessing Brock German Suplex Rey around the ring, only for Rey to make heroic fight-backs by sometimes using steel chairs or other weapons will be amazing. The No Holds Barred stipulation actually suits Mysterio, anything being legal will help the Master Of The 619 try to take out The Beast, and personally my favorite ever Brock match was against CM Punk which also had No Holds Barred style stipulation to it.

I doubt Brock drops the title after only holding onto it for a few weeks, therefore my guess is Lesnar retains but only after a exciting bout that’ll get fans including myself on the edge of my seat. Winner (still champion) – Brock Lesnar

@xterblack Predicts:
Men’s Elimination Match – Team Raw (Seth Rollins (C), Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet & Randy Orton) Vs. Team Smackdown (Roman Reigns (C), Baron Corbin, Mustafa Ali, Shorty G & Braun Strowman) Vs. Team NXT (TBC)

I love the mystery surrounding, not only Ciampa’s partner at War Games but also, the entire NXT team. I would imagine that (dependant on potential War Games injuries) NXT’s Team will be Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, Matt Riddle & either Finn Balor or who ever Ciampa’s mystery partner ends up being.

I can see Shorty G being the first elimination and a lot being built around the former NXT stars of Rollins, McIntyre, Ricochet & Corbin. Kevin Owens is the wildcard in the whole thing and I think that the NXT team will only be populated with four members for most of the match until midway through – at which point – Owens turns on Team Raw securing the final and most important elimination of the night. Winners – Team NXT
