#TownNation: #NXTUK TakeOver Blackpool: Preview and Predictions (@TownNation)

As we are just 3 days away from the first NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool, I wanted to bring you the preview for the event, as well as predictions for the show. So let’s not waste anymore time and get straight into it:

Match #1: Dave Mastiff v Eddie Dennis: No Disqualification

This is the only non-championship match on the card, but it is a very personal rivalry, and they have previously collided when both superstars were both undefeated, but “The Bomber” Dave Mastiff walked away with the victory. Ever since then however, Eddie Dennis has being out for vengeance, attacking Mastiff in the backstage area and inside the ring with weapons. NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint made this match official, and that’s what leads us to NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool.
PREDICTION: Dave Mastiff

Match #2: Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) v Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) NXT UK Tag Team Championships

In recent weeks on NXT UK, a NXT UK Tag Team Championship tournament has being going down where Moustache Mountain and Grizzled Young Veterans have each made it to the finals of the tournament, meaning the teams verse off for a huge opportunity… To become the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions. In my opinion, to solidify the Tag Team division in NXT UK, you need to have a team who’s experienced, and have made NXT UK into what it is today. Do with that been said…
PREDICTION: Moustache Mountain become the NEW NXT UK Tag Team Champions

Match #3: Rhea Ripley (c) v Toni Storm- NXT UK Women’s Championship

From the first time these two women’s superstars versed off, I have always wanted to see the rematch. I was shocked with the initial result, especially due to the fact that Toni Storm won the Mae Young Classic this past year, I thought they would keep her momentum rolling.

Although, Rhea Ripley has been one of my favourite champions in the entire WWE, and has had a fantastic reign with the NXT UK Women’s Championship, Toni Storm cashed in the Mae Young Classic trophy for this opportunity, and we all know that Toni Storm is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world. Also after recent events, it certainly would be a feel good moment for Storm to win. This could go either way, and honestly I wouldn’t mind it. However I’m here to predict sooo…
PREDICTION: Toni Storm becomes NEW NXT UK Women’s Championship

Match #4: Pete Dunne (c) v Joe Coffey: WWE United Kingdom Championship

The main event of the evening is one I’ve being excited for ever since this was announced. Joe Coffey has being one of my favourite superstars in NXT UK and I’m glad he is getting to really shine in this heel role and we all know the level Pete Dunne has being performing at for the past 2 years as WWE United Kingdom Champion.

However, Pete Dunne has held the championship for nearly 600 days now and no one else has being built up more than Joe Coffey. This is another that could go either way, and I honestly would love to see a new Champion, but…
PREDICTION: Pete Dunne retains the WWE United Kingdom Championship
