#TheFoxFiles: The Current State of WWE’s Main Roster (@TownNation)

Hello there, and thank you for taking time out of your day to read this article. In this edition of The Fox Files, we are going to be discussing the state of the WWE Product, what needs to change, and what needs to stay. So without further ado, let’s jump into this:

So, let’s begin with the main roster. In my opinion for weeks now, RAW especially has being very lackluster, to the extent that I sometimes go to bed early as it doesn’t keep me watching or intrigued anymore, and to me it shouldn’t be like that, especially when you take into consideration the roster they have (Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns even and more) but for me, the creative direction for RAW has being to be honest, absolutely horrendous. With the main champion only showing up once every 4 months now, I think that has taken away so much from what RAW could really be like. Imagine the build-ups we could’ve had with the Universal Championship if the likes of Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins or even Roman Reigns was champion?

Things wouldn’t feel as empty as they have been on the red side of WWE. The last thing I would want to change about the current day RAW product is how long the show lasts. For years now, especially since going to the USA Network (NBC Universal) it has been 3 hours, and I think that damages the product. If they reduced it to 2 hours, we wouldn’t need anywhere near as much filler as we usually receive on our weekly RAW show. I think 2 hours would be perfect for RAW, I mean, it works for SmackDown!

Now I’m feeling a little blue, so let’s talk about SmackDown. Now I’m gonna be honest, SmackDown these past few weeks have been absolutely killing it. If I had my way I’d get rid of the 6 Women Tag Team matches we usually see every week, but apart from that, SmackDown has it bang on the money. It’s great to see because they had a very tough beginning to 2018, but it seems like this show is back on track, and is killing RAW. It’s only 2 hours which is the perfect time for a wrestling show, they’re using their biggest talents wisely (although I would like to see more Andrade!) And the creative team seems to be a pretty strong one, with some of these storylines being amazing! Who’d ever think Rusev would get an opportunity.

Thank you all for reading this article. Sound off in the comments which brand you’d prefer and what you would change too!
